89' Merckx in Molteni Orange
I have only posted on here a few time but I would like to share a project I just finished. My wife tells me I have too many bikes. So instead of buying another bike I took an existing bike and turned it into something special. An 89' Corsa Extra in Molteni orange. I went through all of the Corsa Record parts and cleaned them and repacked all the bearings. Got a new record chain on eBay. Stripped the frame. Used spray.bike rattle can paint. Stuff works Great if you follow the directions. Got some 70's style decals. It has 90's Mavic SUP wheels and a beautiful Concor perferated leather saddle. It came out just the way I wanted. I've ridden it a few times. It's awesome!

So it looks great from here and I'm good with the makeover but the general collective here usually have strong mixed feelings about this sort thing, we'll see how it goes.

I like it. I'm a big fan of this color scheme. Orange bikes are faster.

But Celeste is the fastest!
I guess it's OK, I mean it's not like he took some run of the mill Japanese frame and turned it into a De Rosa or something

Very cool! I’d like to see some close ups of the paint job.
