Right on Vancouver's Doorstep: Canada's Worst Ride!
EDIT:
This was picked up by GCN!
I thought I'd update this thread to share the fun little story of how this project has been growing some legs.
I'll keep it short.
This ride was picked up by our local newspaper which ran this short story: https://bit.ly/2T3HqsF
A few days later I noticed quite a few more people sign up or download the route on www.bowenislandman.com
I had no idea where they were coming from though.
Until "Rob from Ontario" send me this message:
"Hey there, just saw your ride on GCN! It looks awesome."
GCN? The world's largest cycling network with millions of subscribers?
WHAT?
Thanks, Rob from Ontario, I had no idea!
So, that's pretty cool. Very cool, actually! Very!
Anyway, check it out if you want. 40 seconds of glory. Here's the link to the show.
Skip to 14:35 for Bowen Island Man.
Or watch the whole thing. It's pretty cool, there is a guy who cycled across Canada....and then halfway around the world....and then across Canada again. During a pandemic!
Anyway, enjoy!

I'm just gonna throw this in here. Think this is the proper forum.
I did a ride this summer that was hands down among the worst I've ever done.
For those of you who know the area - this was done on Bowen Island. A small island just a 20-minute ferry ride off Vancouver.
The ride is called Bowen IslandMan.
I had been wanting to ride this route for a few years but never got around to do it (read: chickened out). The idea: ride every paved road on Bowen.
So, long story short: it was awful. So awful that I thought everyone should get a chance to ride it.
One thing led to another and the idea of a little button for people to download the route became this: www.bowenislandman.com
----
Question – for any of you who might have ridden on Bowen: do you have any "awful" stories & pics from riding on Bowen? I'm collecting them for the Bowen IslandMan Instagram.
Would be great if you got in touch and let me know! Thanks!
