You know how Google, and Ebay, and a lot of other interfaces try to guess what you meant, so you don't always have to type things in exactly correct?
Yeah, R's not like that. R won't even tell you what you did wrong. It just tells you that you did it wrong, stupid. And I am a mediocre typist at best, and my eye/brain always tends to see what I think I typed, rather than what I actually typed.

2 years ago, I weighed 225. That's when I got back on my bike. In 6 months I got down to 185, and then trimmed another 5 off over the next 6-ish months. Due to family schedule stuff (daughter's softball, primarily) interfering with my riding, and the crappy eating habits that tend to go with it, it climbed back up over 190, which is where I am now. It's time to make a couple of small adjustments to get the trend heading the other way.

During my dramatic weight loss in '86-'87 I went from 265 to 173 in 9 months. I weighed in at 175 one day. The next day I went for a ride. Made it about 7 miles from my house and my body said "Enough!" Soft pedaled back home and got on the scale. It read 173. Got a small pizza from a place near the house then hung out at our swim cub all day just relaxing.

Ouch! There were several stories of dealer mechanics letting the new Corvettes fall of the lifts due to not knowing where the lift points were.
When I would watch my 911 get lifted on a 4-point lift, I always wondered if they were conscientious about how much of the car's weight was behind the rear wheels. It was so unbalanced that if you wanted to change a front wheel, you could lift at the rear wheel jack point and both would come off the ground.

Not too fat if the spokes don't break.

The losing part has gotten harder as I've gotten older. I also don't really want to get back down to "race weight". 180-ish is good for me, at this point in my life.

I've gotta say Trsnrtr, WDTing the last couple of weeks has been a big difference - better shots and better consistency. It's actually changed my drinking habits! It was rare for me to drink a straight espresso, but I've been having one most days, lately.
