Masi has their Gran Criterium frameset in stock. Lugged Columbus SL. I've actually has my eye on the complete bikes for awhile now and one shop has my size. I know I could build up a frame for less money but I've been in love with it since I first saw it.

No idea but it's sharp. It even has the style of cable guide braze ons that I like.

is it me, or does that head tube angle seem unusually shallow compared to the seat tube angle?

Not sure if anyone posted already, but my LBS has a few examples from Linus Bikes. https://www.linusbike.com/ seems like they offer up lots of models from flat bar, step through, cruise style, all in a classic look.

Battaglin is somewhat exciting but for the oversized modern lugged frames, their vintage stuff is average.

Exotic, in Europe, IMO, would be something from the Land of the Rising Sun, like Cherubim.

Had this picture on my work desktop for about 5 years, Shin-Ichi Konno builds some stellar bikes amongst a boatload of keirin bikes.

I think Stelbel fits here as well. While they are making more modern steel frames, their Strada SLX is a nice one, even if its not a top of the top's.. level like e.g. an Arabesuqe

Bridgestone makes the RNC7, I believe Panasonic has an equivalent as well.

RNC7
Level makes a wide range as well, they are a Keirin approved builder (Mazda IIRC).

Super Prestige

Prestige
Seen lots of other Keirin builders on auction, Iribe, Ganwell to name a few.
Tange also makes their own bikes via Yasujiro

Then there is Kalavinka which is one of my personal grail bikes.

being Russian, availability might be challenging - I'm not willing to discuss, or want to make others to discuss any other current aspects as I believe craftsmanship has nothing to do with politics, just like sport itself - so:
https://lisbikes.com/

If OP was thinking about Rychtarsky, this dude has a place on this list as well.

I know the OP is not in North America, but if anyone else is looking, Waterford would be way, way up on the list for me. They've got the heritage, have never stopped putting out beautiful steel frames, and have never really gotten distracted into working with aluminum, carbon, etc.

What's the story with this one? Mercian is near the top of my list due to their heritage, a couple of models they offer in particular, and what are usually pretty good reviews about the quality of their work (especially for the price).

Great thread, lots of inspiration and stuff dreams are made of!

WRT the Masi GC above, looks like they abandoned the initial tube joints for standard lugs. Still a beautiful bike like so many others on this thread.

Here are a few German builders I just discovered.
https://www.fern-fahrraeder.de/
Ulrich Vogel GF Road | velociao
https://robertone.cc/

FERN is rather touring bikes, but the stand-out is there with all three

I personally find the Shindelhauer bikes really cool as well: https://www.schindelhauerbikes.com/modelle/aktuell/
