An open letter to everyone

Round Two of the Zwift Racing Seasonjust ended. After a short holiday break, Round Three will kick off on 10 January. Round Three runs 6 weeks to 14th February. Races start every Tuesday evening around 7:30 EDT. We are hoping to expand our group to three teams for this round. If you have a smart trainer and Zwift account join us and make indoor training more fun and effective. You are cordially invited to join one of our teams. If interested please contact us soon as the registration process is somewhat tedious while the upcoming holiday will have everyone focussed on families and friends. If you are interested or would like more information now is the time to contact us. Happy Holidays!

Who is the "us" to contact and how would one do that if they were so inclined. Those two pieces of information might prove helpful to folks wanting to try virtual racing.

With 1,000's of teams there are a lot of places to start. I am the "us" in the post below. I am part of the Cruzbike Racing Team which has registered 3 teams for the upcoming 10 Jan season. We are a recumbent team but happily accept upright riders into the group. Getting riders through the vetting process is tedious but worth it once it's complete. If you are interested in riding with us we will help you through the process. If you prefer another team we will connect you to one based on what you are looking for. They will then help you through the process. The blurbs below are from our team site as recruitment is in full force.

Signups are underway. Some of you have emails from the WTRL in your inbox. Simply check "accept or reject" but please do it soon as we need to solidify our rosters. The round two Low Draggers are already registered but please check your wtrl team site to verify. The Vendettas are especially in need of more riders. If you don't have an invite I surely would like to get one to you, just ask.

We have a great setup starting with the Low Drag team (1.7w/kg--2.2w/kg) in the D category. Next up comes High Speed which we hope to be a podium team in the D's (2.2w/kg-2.6w/kg). If you still need more speed then you move into our Vendetta team in the C' Division (2.6w/kg--3.3w/kg). This works well as you can start with the Low Draggers and as you progress you have a friendly team to move up into. It can also work in the other direction.

If you own a smart trainer and haven't experienced this league you owe it to yourself to at least check it out. Racing is somewhat of a misnomer as it is really just a way to make your indoor trainer more fun to ride, help encourage you to keep at it, and push a little harder. Think about it. This is the reason you bought the trainer in the first place. Come join us there's never been a better time.

We are especially in need of a couple more C racers (2.6 W/kg--3.2wkg) for our Vendetta Team. Currently, we have a solid crew but not enough to sustain the Season. You race 6 on a team each week but typically need a roster of 9 or better to be able to maintain this since everyone can't race every week. We also have room for a few more D racers (1.8--2.6w/kg).

Out of curiosity - what level of C racer do you look for, and I believe for results to count you need a dedicated heart monitor. I am assuming you are looking for folks with a heart monitor?

We can use C riders that fall anywhere inside the C category limits (2.5 w/kg--3.2 w/kg) In fact a D who is "almost C" is fine as we know if he joins us he will Cat up soon. Our members range from top third to Low C right now. Lack of heart rate monitor results in half points for the rider. Since we are currently riding short one rider it still means we would get more points than the current 0. We would hope at some point you acquired a HR though as the competition is quite strong. You need 6 fully operational racers to move up the standings.
