It's been a while since my Chrome browser worked on this forum.

.
...Edge seems to work fine. I use Duck Duck Go as my default search, in a Chrome browser environment. Mostly, I can't quote, editing is just a memory, and the reply window only works sporadically. Don't see You Tube videos that get posted. I do have the up to date version of Chrome. Is there some setting thing that I'm missing, or is it just too much work to keep all the various browsers working with the forum software, so this one has gone by the wayside ? Thanks. I'm not hugely information tech sophisticated, but if you need more information, let me know.

Chrome has worked flawlessly on BF for me for years. I'm using it right now.

...I'll check that. I might have turned it off back when they were issuing multiple updates. Thx.

...Java Script was enabled. So that's not it. The only thing I can think of is maybe the Duck Duck Go extension to the browser complicates back and forth communication with the forum software.

Try Brave. It is essentially the same, but less buggy.

What you describe sounds like some sort of javascript problem.

I've been having the same issues as OP for a while too, I use Chrome and Google and used to be able to see Youtube links, but for weeks/months now I no longer see any Youtube links, just a big empty space on the page, no link, nothing.

Also and again this has only been happening for the last few months, whenever I go back and edit a post that I've attached pics to, every time it breaks the photos links somehow and they don't display, and I have to go back in and re-enter each photo individually, and god forbid you make any mistakes, as any edits will lose the pics again, which is getting tedious to the point its making me post less. So we seem to have arrived at a model that discourages posting and encourages leaving bad grammar as is, which seems proper wrong guv, innit.

or strips too much (like javascript, cookies, etc) to be "safe" and "protected" and "ad-free" .... Edge is Chromium, so I'd look squarely at the extension and disable it, see if that returns things to normal....

I use chrome and have some intermittent issues with the youtube videos (although I now think I might not have patient enough to let them load? or at least that is the problem sometimes).
Editing was broken for everyone for a while. No problems quoting or with other problems except for occasional glitch when I am trying to post a photo (have same problem on the Mac). My chrome OS is also older: Version 103.0.5060.132

I doubt Chrome per se is the problem. More likely it is a setting or extension interfering.

I'm posting this with javascript disabled (albeit Safari). None of the editing tools are available. I want to see if I can replicate the rest of the symptoms.

Edit: Well, it looks like I can edit (without advanced editor functionality).

...tried temporarily disabling the Duck Duck Go search extension, but that fixed nothing. I guess I can look at this as a blessing, in that I will be encouraged to post less. Edge still works fine for me, even though it's a product from the dreaded Microsoft. So It's not like I don't have a workable alternative. Thx for the suggestions.

One more debugging trick that I often do for these types of issues:

Create a new user account on your computer. Open Chrome and log into BikeForums. Modifications are user-specific, so a new user account will allow you to test whether unmodified Chrome works properly. If it does, then you know it is a user-specific setting or modification that is causing the problems. Then you can delete your new user account on the computer (or keep it for future debugging).
