What is the bike?

Sheesh, I knew I should have double checked my post. I meant the Brodie Credo. Pretty nice overall because it has Shimano parts everywhere.

I was actually thinking of selling 2 bikes to get that one. The only thing is, I wish it could take 2.4" tires. Since it says it comes with 1.75" tires with room for larger tires and fenders, I'm assuming this means maybe 2 inch tires plus fenders. I could always use Kenda Kwick Seven.5 two inch tires then put on SKS B65 fenders would likely fit then maybe I'd add Atran Velo front and rear racks...

If the pictured tires really are 1.75", then I'd agree that 2" is about as large as it appears you could go. There doesn't appear to be a lot of extra clearance at the chain stays for much wider than is already there. Plus, the wider you go without going up in rim width, the more difficult it is to get the brakes configured so that they swing open wide enough to get the wheel out without having to deflate the tire.

It's an interesting bike. It says it's got a 4130 chrome-moly frame (good, in general). But then it's got Alhonga brakes (Chinese), Tourney components, and nutted axles. All of that leads me to think that the tubing on the frame isn't all that optimized (probably straight gauge) and that some or much of the frame might not even be chrome-moly...it's likely a mix of 4130 and high-tensile (cheap) steel.

I just ordered a Litespeed Cherohaha City in small with HED Emporia GA Performance 650b wheels for my wife. It will be quite similar to her Canyon Roadlite 9 lTD XS with 650b Hayes carbon wheels. It will have 1.9" Panaracer GK Semi-Slick tires on it.
