Hi, Can someone help me identify this Diamondback Coil model year? Anything I need to beware of?
It is for my son if I buy it....what might it be worth, no rust.
thanks.

I don't know that much about Diamondbacks, but the components look like late 1990s. If that is a current photo, I may go 150 bucks or more.

Seatpost appears to be facing the wrong way. Does the rear shock and the suspension forks work?

FWIW, that bike apparently changed hands in May, 2018. Maybe again in July.

Honestly, that bike should be less than $100, and might not be a great deal even then. The more bells and whistles they put on inexpensive bikes, the more they cut corners to cover the cost. Buyer beware.

You could probably buy the new version at Wally Mart for the same price as they are charging for this one. It still wouldn't be worth it.

The bike pictured was not the exact bike but it was the exact model.

I asked for a better picture of the "no rust" bike stored indoors: crank arms rusted (the whole length!; wheel spindles and bolts rusted.
"you said there was not rust!"
He responded "No rust on the frame the rest of the rust is normal. you don't know good quality, I don't think this bike is for you"

Stopped by at a local department store and picked up a bike for $70 and another for $200 CDN on clearance way more than 1/2 off. No rust.

thank you for the input.
