Golden ride today
Started this morning about 8:15 and it was 52 Fahrenheit. Some of our leaves are turning gold, and I got some pictures. And, as always a picture of yours truly so I can reassure myself that I am really alive! It's warming up as I post this, so I'll be removing my jacket and arm warmers.

I have several bike trails behind and near my house in Parker Colorado. This particular one is the Cherry Creek trail which goes about 47 miles from downtown Denver to Castlewood Canyon State Park. This trail has only one Street crossing in those 47 miles.

Sometimes I ride on a bike path bear here and several times this summer I saw red snakes and those things were fast! 4 or 5 feet long and I never saw a snake move like that. Maybe they were Red Racers.

Unfortunately have run over at least five this year. They love to sun themselves on the pavement. My wife has taken out a couple. Always feel bad but the suckers are so small (about 6”) its hard to see them. Did see a one footer and was able to swerve around it.
