Having fun on the first day of November. Fall colors are at their peak or slightly past here in Bloomington, IN and the recent cooler weather gave way to 70 F in the afternoon which will repeat today. The foliage was not quite as good for The Hilly Hundred the weekend before but a great ride as always. Our youngest son was able to ride with us yesterday and took the photo of the two of us riding.

We are riding with Counselguy and his wife this afternoon. He has been out of commision since the end of June from a torn Achilles during our tandem trip to Michigan (but he tore it playing tennis there) and just got back on the tandem for the first time two weeks ago.

Bloomington, IN

Here's one of us from a local hil climb race (we were the only tandem there). The first mile averaged 13%, the middle was less steep, and the last mile was rollers (we passed a few people there).

That's an interesting perspective. And the light hits the bike in such a way that it seems to glow from within. Very nice shot!

the "midget" and I

My alternate stoker is my 14-year old daughter. This picture was taken at the Blackwater Forest MS ride this past May. She raised just over $1100 and wants to raise $1500 next year. She's grown 6" in the last 2 years so she's not really a midget anymore.

How do I get the "big" images instead of thumbnails?

I believe that you have to have the images hosted on another website and then you can put the html location code into your post to reference the pic on the other site. If you use this website to host the pictures you will get the thumbnails like you got.

If this is incorrect, I'm sure someone will let me know.

Going. Liz is stoking. She has her own drive train and gears, but definitely no steering capability.

Does the stoker pedal "backwards"?

Both our gloves and helmets were destroyed in a recent mishap....

Here is a detail shot of the rear drive wheel. The bike would be moving from right to left in this picture.
