Show Us Your C&V Bike with Fenders

1987 French Steel

Hey C&V readers, do you own a classic or vintage bike with fenders on it??? Please post pics of your beauty here. I've seen some gorgeous old bike on this forum but I have to search multiple threads to check out the ones with fenders, so, here's another chance for you to show off.

Sort of. But it would need TWO shorties to "officially" have fenders.

The silver Merz and the PX10 are as found so....

The green Merz is also as found but completely original fenders and all save for maybe bar tape and tires.

Pinarello with Fenders

Hey Jeff, Maybe a little Italian number with fenders will peak your fender interest?

That's a beauty

My post was simply pointing out the sad fact that I have no bike to post. Then again, none have eyelets. Hell, most can barely fit 25mm rubber, much less fenders. Maybe one day I will find a suitable bike.

But I doubt it

My usual fender bike: 1979 Miyata 912, originally with 27”, now has room for 700x28’s under SKS fenders. Somehow I’ve not taken any good photos of it since the Gugificazione treatment with fenders. No one took got a solo shot of it during last March’s Tour of the Willamette Valley. I should fix that.

The 1987 Marinoni Sport Tourer in occasional 650B configuration fits Berthoud fenders nicely over 38’s. But it’s a happier bike with 700x32’s. Absolutely no room for fenders with those.

1988 Schwinn LeTour. It doesn't have a fancy European pedigree, but I like how this bike rides, so I set it up to be an all day, any weather, any terrain, bike. I added a triple crank, fenders, Brooks saddle, taller stem, and bar-end shift levers. Not in the picture, I also have a NOS Schwinn large touring seat bag, for if I need to carry extra food or clothing.
