Schwinn Traveler rebuild

I posted about this in September 2018, shortly after I had this frame powder coated. Guess what? It sat in my basement for over two years before I decided to get it dressed up to go out. Original SunTour AR derailleurs, headset, DiaCompe 500 brakes, Super Maxy cranks (probably non original), KKT Top Run pedals, SR stem and seatpost, my own Brooks B17, wheels? Dunno, I have too many to keep track. I put a townie cockpit on it..Tektro brakes, SunTour downtube shifters mounted on VO thumb shifter mounts. Handlebars are from a 1960s Schwinn, narrower than I'm used to, but I like them. I had to put a downtube cable stop on it because I couldn't get ferrules small enough to fit in there, and big enough to accommodate a cable housing. I'm going to trim the brake housings, they're a bit too long. I found a place that makes matching colored spray paint, and updated my Zefal HP to match.

Nice job. I like the SunTour shift levers on the VO thumbies. I may have to copy that at some point in the future. Do you have the headbadge? Were you able to save the chainstay protector?

I put a clear chainstay protector on there. Yes, I have the headbadge, I have to find the screws for it.

Collie reminds me of the 87 year model Traveler. Would love to find another!
