Hello from SoCal
Just joined the forum since I took up cycling again after so long. Glad there is an over 50 sub-forum here since I'm part of it and looking forward to learning from everyone!
Just picked up a 2021 Giant Fastroad SL3 to get started and enjoying the rides so far.

I have fastroad sl3 as well, a 2019 model. With around 3000 flawless miles so far it's a great bike, enjoy!

How do you like the Giant Fastroad SL3? I bought a 2021 Fastroad SL3 and rode it a few times. I liked the bike but returned it and got a Specialized Allez E5 Elite. So Cal here as well.

I like the FR SL3 very much. So far had ridden over 130 miles and have no complaints. The Claris works but it's not the smoothest. I like the geometry, can go quick, go on hardpack gravel, and good at climbs. When I decided to get back into cycling my goal was to acclimate to the sport and get my legs back to form. I did look at both the Allez and Domane but decided to stay with the fitness platform until I get my legs back and would revisit possibly adding a road bike. How is the Allez working out for you, please share what you think as it and the Domane will be on my radar.
