Keewanaw Peninsula?
Looking to incorporate the above into part of our tour in late summer. Has anyone cycled this area?

I have never gone east of Houghton, and I have only driven a vehicle on the UP, not a bike. There is at least one bike shop in Houghton, or there was in 2018, I would assume it is still there. Houghton is a college town so there are some good brew pubs.
There is a time zone change up there, the line is not in a logical location.

I have road bike the area a number of times years ago.
Some sections are a bit hilly - leaving Houghton heading to Lake Linden then fairly flat on road to Gay. When getting to Lac La Belle there is a good climb to 41.
From 41 to Copper Harbor lots of rolling hills. When leaving Copper Harbor you can take 2 routes to Eagle Harbor. If you take route 26 it follows along shoreline with a few rollers or take Brockway Mountain Dr which about 6 major climbs to top where there is a gift shop at lease when I rode there. Very scenic sections with views of L. Superior and Copper Harbor. From top is pretty much downhill to Eagle Harbor and reconnects to 26. Follows shoreline with a few rolling hills. Do not recall routes to Ahmeek. Looks like a number options. I think we used 203 to Hancock.

Brockway surprises most everyone. The first timer will think to themselves, "I didn't know Michigan had mountains!". Don't forget to take a dip in Lake Superior. Nice cool water.

Lots of great riding both north and south of Houghton/Hancock. Road condition can vary. Just check that the county road you're choosing is paved. If you're going to Brockway Mountain Drive (gift shop was gone last time I was there) consider taking it from the west. Long climb but from the east (Copper Harbor side) it is really steep. Paradise Rd. south of Houghton has a super fast descent. US 41 has paved shoulders south of Houghton and up to Calumet. The rest will have no paved shoulders. Contact the Copper Country Cycling Club. The time change is well west of Houghton (the counties along the Wisconsin border are in the Central Time Zone).

I spent a day there on the Iron Porcupine a few years ago. It was a really nice ride. Brockway is a big hill. Bring a bike with low gears.

Copper Harbor
We rode out to Copper Harbor and back last summer. Except for the crazy steep climb up Brockway Mountain Drive, the climbing was 4-5%.

It was a worthwhile side trip. We also rode the UP and enjoyed the remoteness of the area.
