Anything Special about bleeding hydraulic back caliper on a tandem?

I have heard it can be a pain. just a Shimano deore 4 piston caliper. its getting bit mushy from overheating on long descents it seems. I have heard it can be tricky. I have been my other Shimano brakes and my matura's and I ahve the parks brake bleed kit anything I should know thats different?

Bikes: Too many. Giant Trance X 29, Surly Midnight Special get the most time.

You will obviously have to push more fluid--maybe 2-3 syringes. You may get better results if you unmount the caliper to angle the bleed port more upwards, and in general if you can angle the bike to place the lever higher than the caliper that's a good idea. Really there's not anything different except the longer line, which means there's just more opportunity for air to get trapped somewhere. You can feel pretty clearly if the bleed is okay when you close the caliper bleed port and pull the lever. Just keep going until it feels firm.

Given the length of tandems a second set of hands can be helpful. Andy

so I bought a cheap bike lift kit but the hooks were more like a L then a hook so I did not trust them so I just wrapped the rope it around the frame. I wanted to lift the rear too so I didn't to have to bend down so far. spilled the bottle of fluid twice and made more then the usual mess. but got it lots of dark fluid. we really need to make sure the back does not overheat, the oicdoes not show the black we well but it was sure in the cup and line.
