This was sent to me today. Little north and I'm not sure of the details. May have to contact Greenline.

There will be an "urban cyclocross" race going on at the same time at the same place. If you see a tall skinny guy riding a seafoam green Rock Lobster in the 60+ age group give me a little encouragement!

You got it. Watch out for those railroad tracks, they take people out all the time. Personal experience. I won't be selling, but I'll probably ride up for the swap and festival.

Are you familiar with the wet part of the cx course? How deep is that water and how long of a stretch?

Yeah, tough bike choice. I've never seen the course. I might be able to run down those steps quicker than I can ride them. The lighter CX bike will be easier to carry so that will probably be my choice.

I know you race cx. Are you planning to be there?

I didn't run the course, but it was well attended by CX riders. Swap seemed ok. I think being the first year it could do well with experience and sellers input next year. They have room to expand it if they choose, but 20 spots is a little light.

Thanks for sharing this. I just got back. I scored some 48cm Nitto noodle bars (my size) for about $50 and a way too small Trek frame for $10. The frame is for paint rust removal experiments. Bwahahahaha.

You get that 510? Got my XT fix and a cross fork. They have a couple of nice tandems at great prices, Davidson and Santana.

I wanted to do a swap meet here come Spring. Very difficult to scare up vendors though. I want it to be a worthwhile outing for all.

I don't know if it is a 510. There is no model marking left on it and i don't begin to know enough about Trek's offerings to take a stab at it. It's a nicely built frame, though, with thinned lug ends, the "Trek" pantoed seat stay caps, and a disintegrating but still readable "Missing Link" shop sticker for a nice local touch. I haven't measured it, but my guess is it's about a 52cm frame (only 10 to 13 cms too small for me). The silver/grey paint is patinaed but not terrible, and the redish/maroonish seat tube graphic is starting the peel off (definitely a sticker, not a decal). It's probably too nice a frame for my hope-for painting experiments, but hey, it was only $10.

They had a ton of stuff. My general take was that the frame and complete bike prices were a steal on the whole. The component prices were not a steal but still good, especially with the 20% off marked prices. Not a lot of uber-high end stuff but a ton of everything else. Again, thanks for the heads up. It was a fun way to spend part of a gray Saturday afternoon.

thanks... I did see that and could have said so in my post. I have a scheduling conflict with that day but, may be able to swing by late in the day for a look-see.
as far as I've been able to tell this is the only event left in the Bay area (?)

I bet we see another one this year at the museum in Fairfax (Marin) possibly another at the Ritchey HQ in San Carlos...but perhaps not at The Pedaler in El Sobrante/San Pablo...maybe the Trailhead shop in Cupertino....or maybe none of the above, but some of these happened during "Pandemic Times", so it's possible
