My Grander Sportier AKA Gugifcation build

A while back gugie picked up this Grand Sport for me!

I asked him to do some wizardry in the Atelier and make this with brazed studs ready for Mafac brakes and put a stud on the top tube for a Shimano Alfine 8 DT shifter from MicroShift.
He also added two sets of bottle bosses.
I had the rear wheel from another BF member BikeTales and found a matching rims at Shirk's bike shop here in PA.
I finally got it together but cannot ride it until my prostate heals up.

@gugie some incredibly fine work there. I like how the boss flows into the fork crown. I assume the rack bosses on the stays as well...?

Very nice! What’s remarkable is that @gugie let a Gran(d) Sport(s) leave the atilier!

Yes, I forgot that he brazed on rack bosses and cobbled together the rear rack attachment which is real sturdy. He also added the stud for the gear cable wheel on the seat tube.

Pix from the Atelier before Brian painted and assembled the bike.

This is one of my favorite bits.

Gugie did something similar for my Grand Jubilé. No one ever sees that little tab, but it makes mounting fenders much less hacky. I spy a curved replacement seat stay bridge with a fender tab too. Nice touches.

Nice Grandier Sportier! What is Gugie? The finest frame craftsman, in the West Hills of Portland, Oregon, at his price point?! Very exclusive company! Enjoy the ride when you can sit on it!

I don't know, Andy got a chance to try out the torch recently, and he liked it...but perhaps he'd charge more, so I can keep my claim.
