Just sharing that there is a vintage steel (race) bike ride assembling at Woodside School this Sunday with a 10am roll out. No RSVP stuff, just show up with a bike and take a casual, and I mean it, casual spin. It will be the basic loop ride and people are planning on sharing lunch afterword behind the school. There are factions within this group that plan on making this ride every month going forward, that would be the third Sunday of the month...except I guess Easter Sunday.

I googled "Woodside School" and got Woodside High School, at 84 and the Alameda, and Woodside Elementary School in Woodside. Which one?

I informed the Bike Forums C&V group that there was a vintage bike ride today. This ride group is mainly populated by the members of the Classic Rendezvous Forum Join the Classic Rendezvous Google group

As a short ride report - Nice riding weather, I think there was 10 or 11 riders, two of which were regulars of the Bike Forums C&V ride group. We rode the classic Portola Valley Loop and shared a lunch break after the ride at Woodside Elementary School in Woodside across from the church. A casual ride, around 25 miles and had plenty of time to talk bikes and share stories. Started around 10am and ended around 1, after lunch. It was a fun time!

For those who don't know about the Classic Rendezvous reference site, here is the URL Lightweight Classic Vintage bicycles

As we all know, if there are no pictures it didn't happen.

I flatted with 5 miles to go, and figured there was no reason for anyone to wait, and I had a 20 mile ride home. So I told them to leave me and that I'll see them next time. Got the new tubular on really quickly, then I remembered I didn't have any pictures. So, I took off up Sandhill and met up with the trailing edge of the group and rode to finish to get the coveted pictures.

Bummer about that flat. But hey, what about that Peter Johnson! Beautiful bike.

Any more photos of it?

Which bike to bring? Decisions, decisions! I'm thinking the Schwinn Circuit or the Lotus Supreme....

Mike - you ARE bringing the Bianchi, right?

@genejockey - The real question is "which Bianchi?" They keep multiplying in my garage! I'll be bringing the the one I repainted, hopefully I'll get the new seat post finished so I can put it on before the ride.

Orientation isn't a real big deal with Mike. When we rode with him at the start of Touroica, he took some snaps like this.

What are you saying about my orientation? Oh, you were commenting on my lack of ability to post photos in the right orientation. Yeah, I resemble that remark.

c&v ride in Bay Area

hello,
I stumbled on this thread and wanted to see if there is a group that meets regularly.
I have a small stable and would love to parade them around w/ like minded fans of c&v.
I live in the sunset district of SF, and often ride around Canada Rd, Sawyer Camp Trail, etc.
Thanks,
Christian
