Bikes: Wow, where to start? A collection of 1980's and early 90's road, touring, and MTBs from the likes of Trek, Schwinn, Cannondale, Fuji, Miyata, Univega, Panasonic, and GT. It has gotten rather out of control.

Yeah, sorry about that. I copy and paste the photos but the links to them probably die when the items sell and the ads are deleted. On a different forum I do a Snip of a given photo which I then paste into my post and that lasts, not actually being linked to the ad, but Snips don't work on BF so I can't do that.

Response to Bogester:

Thomas Robert 'T.R.' Driggett passed away about a year and half ago. Obituary at https (colon/double slash) memorials.phillipfuneralhome.com/thomas-driggett/4255535/
(I don't have enough posts yet to be able to add a URL).

And, if you Google 'T.R. Driggett', it looks like someone in the Racine WI area has a half-dozen of those stickers available on eBay.

I cant say the same for Hokie Spokes though, haha, as you implied they are the more low end shop, but the owner is a nice guy. There is a more recent shop too, Bike Barn, I usually go there. They are between the other two in both location and philosophy.
I know that I am quoting a 10 year old post to this thread, but I was looking for some reference to Hokie Spokes... sadly I don't have a sticker to share, but I certainly applied many to new bikes between 1989 and 1994 ( BS - Interior Design from VT ). I LOVED working for Dave at Hokie Spokes, the shop always reminded me of what it would be like for the Bad News Bears to run a bike shop! I am pretty sure he's still in business, just a bit off Main Street near the "Gucci Kroeger"... my son is now studying at VaTech ( College of Architecture ) so this very old post just made me smile with nostalgia!

Kind of hard to see, but this is the famous Medusa Head from Michael's Cyclery in Ames Iowa. Home of most of the Raleigh Teams in the late 1970's and 1980's. If anyone has a more intact one, I would love to see it!

Madison (WI) Area Bike Shop Stickers

In the late 70's and early 80's I worked for two different Madison area bicycle shops - Monona Village Pedaler and Yellow Jersey in downtown Madison. The Yellow Jersey sticker is of note because that is a time when Yellow Jersey was still a coop. Subsequently the coop dissolved and was purchased by Andy Muzi - who still operates Yellow Jersey north of Madison in Arlington. The Yellow Jersey sticker (of which I have a handful that are original) exemplify the Zeitgeist of the 70's anti-war movement that had enveloped Madison, the U.S. and the world. I should also mention that I was the teenager who designed the Village Pedaler sticker!

I was 17 or 18 when I did the sticker design - the shop had made a name change and I did the graphic for them (no digital graphics at that time!).

I called on these folks for years; a huge family (12 or 13 kids) and all of them worked in the place. Old timey Schwinn dealers who answered the phone "Schwinn."

the local Schwinn store was W.L.A. Bike & Hobby one wall of model kits, a counter with rocket kits and supplies. Did a big business in the 60’s, early 70’s. Stumbled a bit later as the European and Japanese took over the adult segment.

Just picked these up yesterday; a pair of 1996 Trek 930’s presumably from the same shop but only one had the sticker.

How they came from upstate New York all the way to northern Utah could be an interesting (or not) story.

Looks like they're still there!
