I'm not sure why the three ladies are dancing in the background, but I thought some of the folks in this thread might appreciate this t-shirt.

Thread Leader suggested posting my Tommasini in this thread. It's a 56 cm Sintesi ( 56.5 Center to Top) that probably was converted to a Chorus Racing Triple by the previous owner, who like me, found he didn't have enough gears on the double. It was suggested by a member to be of a late 90's vintage. It's full Chorus with 170 cranks, 52 x 42 x 30 Rings and 13 x 28 Cassette. I bought it from a local lady whos since deceased father was an avid collector from S. California. The bike has always been stored inside and well cared for. It's a bit too small for me otherwise it would stay in my collection. As it is, I'll probably sell it and would take offers.

Boisiecyclist, I'm glad I just bought a horn; otherwise, I'd have to make the painful decision to part with either my Colnago, my Bianchi, or my Vespa to help finance that great-looking Tommassini. And it's just my size, too. Love, love, love a steel triple--really miss my Grand Jubilee, but it was just too big.

I'm a little surprised that not one example of the Dura Ace 7803 triple crankset has shown up here... imho, the pinnacle of Shimano's bike jewelry design trend. (I realize that it's on the late side for most C&V bikes.) (And also that it's likely not to everyone's tastes.)
Tried to post an example photo but I'm still too newb to be allowed. :/

Well it's fast if you can spin the 60t Duralum chainring! Early 1960s Desiree, also has a granny(28t) for going not so fast uphill, middle ring is 50t.

Can’t say how fast I am anymore but this 72 Italvega Super Speciale served me well in 3 Eroica California’s so far. It has a modified ‘74 Campagnolo NR double crank drilled for 74bcd inner, currently a 28T Sakae Platinum chainring drilled for 10mm bolts, have been advised not to use 26T or 24T inner due to potential chain suck between the inner ring and Campagnolo crank arms. This doesn’t seem to apply to the Avocet / Ofmega Triple cranks pictured in some
bikes in this thread and which I’m going to use on a couple of future builds.
Overall front rings are 52-42-28, 52-42 are drillium rings from an Italvega Superlight. I’m using a 72 Campagnolo NR rear derailleur with SOMA long cage (I don’t consider it ugly at all, either anodized or polished) with NOS Bulleye pulleys, Suntour 14-18-22-26-30 freewheel but seriously contemplating moving to a 14-18-22-28-34 for Eroica’s Cypress Mountain climb for the >10% sections which I just couldn’t hack in 2019. Doing a lot more hill training and feeling relatively stronger but at my age and 210# weight, I need all the gearing help I can use. Have used KMC Z51 or newer equivalent 6-7 speed chains although some have mentioned SRAM / Sedis chains are also quite good in these applications. Had to install a Campagnolo 70-SS-X3 125mm wide spindle to get sufficient inner ring / chainring bolt clearance.
My use of larger / taller Compass / Renè Herse Bon Jon Pass Extralight 700c x 35 tires effectively increases total wheel & Tire diameter larger which makes my gearing a bit higher than if on normal 25’s so getting a bit more gear ratio would help. But with these tires, less vibration and floats a lot better over rutted dirt and gravel at 50-55R / 45-50F psi tire pressures depending on road and temps.
AFAIK, Bob Freeman in Seattle still drills and spot faces the crank arms and can help with fitting inner rings.

Just finished converting from 2x8 to 3x8. Crankset and RD are Racing T, FD is Record triple. Front rings are 52/42/30. Rear is Shimano DA with 12,13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23.

Replacement rear rear wheel with Campagnolo Record hub will be 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 21, 23. If and when I can find a 9v rear Chorus or Record hub the cassette in hand will is 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 21, 23, 26.

Posted elsewhere: Newly acquired Motobecane Grand Record with various customizations, running a Specialities TA triple and a Super Record RD with Rally long cage. Just discovered yesterday, however, that my 34 chainring is bent and will require replacement. Probably go with a 30 or 32, anyway. Now I just need a freewheel worthy of that long cage.

MIELE Suprema Columbus SLX frameset with the iridescent Neapolitan paint scheme. Campagnolo Mirage 9-speed Ergo levers and front derailleur, Veloce the rest of the components. Campy Evolution rims. Veloce crankset is 30 - 42 - 52 but only because at the time I ordered it I could only get those rings not the 30 - 40 - 50 I wanted.
I would have gone with Veloce Ergo levers and front derailleur but they were quite a bit more than the Mirage ones.
I should bew looking for those 9-speed Veloce Ergo levers and front derialleur. I by far prefer the silver colour over the black.
Cheers

Well I took this fast triple in on trade a couple of months ago. It's one sweet ride with the Racing T setup.
And then this local pickup. It's only 20 years old so probably not C & V yet. Still sorting it out but right now has a 52/42/30 crank and I managed to get the RD to work with a new 11-28T cassette.
