Anyone have any recommendations for facilitating on this in Georgia? I am still pretty new at this. I tried messaging RedBikee" from the facilatators list but he is gone. I have now sent a message to "TheBlackBullet" and still awaiting reply. Just curious if anyone knows anyone that is a more definitive yes before the bike sells. TIA

I bought this Lemond out of Reno. The seller stated he knew the original owner and the bike was purchased new locally. This is supposed to be a Scapin built example. Seat stay caps are similar to other Scapin built frames. Components are as purchased except the saddle. I swapped the white Vetta saddle for the white Lemond saddle currently on the bike. Full bike pic, but I could get better detailed pics. Sorry for the thread drift...

Thank you for sharing this info - sorry I somehow missed this post. Mine is definitely not DS based on the BB does not have the DS stamp and serial # 4 digits then space #3. Mine is all white with white head tube with the Greg Lemond not Lemond DT sticker etc BB marked 55 SL for Columbus SL. Now I am curious to see your BB style and the cutouts if theyre oval and match mine I am thinking it likely my frame is also Scapin

It kind of looks like there is a piece of 2 x 4 or something wedged into the BB and at the TT the pump looks twisted improperly and not compressed on its footing correctly!

Hmm, I'm only seeing the handle (rotated 180) at the top, and the head at the bottom. Hard to see how the head is oriented, but I don't see any wood at either end.

What I do see is how short the rear brake cable housing is.

I've had luck asking the seller to take it to a bike shop to pack and ship. Once the bike is delivered, I confirm with the shop, pay the seller via venmo/paypal, send the bike shop prepaid postage, and eagerly wait my new bike. Not the cheapest solution, but if it's for a special bike, it's worth it.

Thank you for the tip! I would definitely do that if only the seller would return my emails and or call/text me. So without any communication it wont happen I guess. So far this has been a common thread for me on these listings I dont know why. I cant tell if this is just the normal response - I dont really want to sell my bike unless it goes exactly as I want or I am going about it incorrectly. But I tend to think my initial email is very clear I am a serious buyer and want to make the payment and transaction as simple as possible etc. Maybe too many people have now been burned by all of the scammers out there and they think I must be one of them.... Quite frustrating.

This is a little over priced and the components are bit mixed up from what I would expect the Metallic Celeste and Formula 2 tubing decals lead me to believe this started life as an ‘87 Limited which should have been all 600.

https://redding.craigslist.org/bik/d...440196210.html. $500.

I love this color and I wish I could find one my size.

Is this Centurian for $100 in Redding Ca worth perusing? Not for me but I know some of you really dig this brand. https://redding.craigslist.org/bik/d...433528062.html
