I found this one with a Google search and comparing it to the frame I might get it seems to be an '87.

Frame looks like the Super and details list SL Cromor which are two diff types of Columbus tubes. Maybe a mix as Cromor is slightly heavier and advertised for more demanding riders probably both for larger frames and cyclist ?

I went to get a lookover of the Colnago International frameset and it does feel heavy like Cromor. Reminded me of the Bottecchia Cromor I had a while back. I passed on it.

Thanks for the input.

I recently bought this one.

Somebody tell me I've done right!
I sold a nice Master x-light in order to buy this one

Super Record.

No chainstay bridge.

As far as I can tell, it's a Super Profil from around 1983. Or is it a Nuovo Mexico? Although the latter usually has four crimps on the down tube whereas this one only has two.
Of course the colour is everything in this case. Still original.
There are some Shimano bits I like to change and I found a nice set of Super Record brake calipers.

@sloar, lookin' good! Very pretty bike! That's some great handlebar tape, too. One of my faves. Sweet ride, man.

I really like the early bottom bracket on the old Master. Fancy!

Mid 1980's Master Piu.

My contribution to the thread, although they all have updated components (I ride them, and enjoy integrated shifters) and only one is techinically a C&V bike.

Steel, Titanium, Aluminum, and (2x) Carbon.

They're all set up a little differently, and all were built up from bare frames because I think I enjoy wrenching on bikes as much as I enjoy riding them. The Master was the latest aquisition, and I still haven't ridden it much yet, it got a bit too cold and wet to take it out here in Michigan.

Do you have any reservations using the synergy wheels? I have a set and have been hesitant to use them for all of the fear mongering that I read about on the internet.

After Franklin Frame repaint
I just realized after cruising through this thread and looking at all the nice Colnago’s that I hadn’t posted a picture here since the repaint. So here it is , from a ride up one of our canyons .

Since this thread is back to life. I had a Super for a short time. Picked if up in the dark and got it home to realized it was a bit of a mess. Full strip down and rebuild took it from a balky 6 speed setup to a really, really well working 8 speed setup. I just wanted it to be one size larger. It was a great riding bike on the road though.

Looked good from several feet away but the parts didn't work well.

New cables, brake pads, housings, all components stripped off, cleaned, polished, and serviced, etc.

Non-traditional red bling spokes and jockey wheels. This rivaled my prefered Suntour Superbe friction setup on my Opus III for smoothness and precision.

Being reassembled...photo by previous owner for Cycling Tips.

Professional work, of course. Now in my hands.
It had some smudges, and I had to pull the BB, so it's in pieces. 11-speed rear.

Seemed like a good idea at the time.
Still does, no regrets, though I need to sell some bikes or find a better rationalization/excuse.

My C50 with Chorus

This is just an excellent bike

Any carbon fibre doubters (or Colnago doubters, for that matter) should try out one of these. Or a C40. I feel very planted when I'm out on this bike

Heartily agree. The C40 earned it on Paris-Roubaix, over and over.
I have the CLX with SR11. Likely the best century bike I've ever been on.
I rode a Master XL on my last double century, because I'm addicted to the compliments.

Found this old manipulated pic this evening while going through my Flickr account; wish I could remember how I got the B&W effect while retaining the bike's colors:
