picked van baarle, hirschi, pidcock, mader and aranburu for those classics-styled stage profiles of which there are a few. picked hirschi (even w/o the results since the move to uae) and mader because of the swiss connection. also wanted to take schar-oh well.
vlasov, seppuku and pidcock for the mountains. felix da haus cat with the freshie legs is the wild card. absolutely did not (want to) take bettiol but somehow he ended up on my team. haven't been able to figure out whom he got subbed for or if i was just drunk dialing...er...selecting.
wanted to get schachmann onto the squad as well but just couldn't make it happen with vlasov aboard. said eff it with the last stage itt and wasn't going to carry a rider or two in the hopes that they actually made it to the last stage, much less did well.
do like the fact that pogacar is engaging in zero, warm-up tours pre-tour. throws even more uncertainty into the july proceedings. not that i'm expecting tadej to get discounted down to 16-18 points...

I have found it can be dangerous to put ^^ that ^^ much thought into it.
And it can also be dangerous to not put any thought. Aim for enough good thoughts.
I can't remember what I did this time around but it wasn't on point. I'll come back at Benelux.

Cosnefroy is hanging in there to score me a point as if his contract is up next year.
Sagan crossed the line DFL today but he still crossed the line.
They're working for us, one4smoke

congrats to Team Poetovio/SLO/team Keka 76 in taking the tour de suisse! slcbob and team X Merckx the Spot slots into second place and yours truly somehow managed to finish third with only two riders completing the race.
we've got a couple of weeks to decompress, then, it's on. the tdf. hopefully, all the squads can stay healthy until then and also throughout.. hope to see y'all then! just like the giro (and the upcoming best race of the year-da vuelta), will be running separate tdf fantasy and reality threads.

GrainBrain is still sporting a healthy lead in the mott overall, see post #1 well maintained by our host ooga-booga . Our interloper continues to do silently, infuriatingly well.
I don't know what it is, but I'm sure someone is going to do something magnificent in La Grande Boucle. Bon chance all.
