The Meaning Of Cycling

Sometimes I often wonder what is the meaning of cycling? Persistence all the way? Is the beautiful scenery along the way? Or the happiness of reaching the destination? Maybe not. Cycling has a different meaning in the heart of every person who loves cycling. It may be a kind of life perception, a self-breakthrough, a pursuit of memories, or a tempering of growth. But no matter how it appears in people's hearts, it is an endorsement of a healthy and upward lifestyle.

The process of riding may be very hard and tiring, but we have been persevering. Even if we are tired, we are happy. Cycling is a challenge, and its meaning is the meaning of life.

For me it's recreation and seeing the country from a different perspective. In many places in the USA it means you lost you drivers license.

It means what goes around - comes around.

It means the appreciation of using levers and circles to overcome time and distance.

And the seasons, they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down
We're captive on the carousel of time
We can't return, we can only look
Behind, from where we came
And go round and round and round, in the circle game

When I first started cycling at 16 and was racing the meaning of cycling was « To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women. »

Now it’s more of enjoying being healthy and beautiful scenery with some sprints along the way.

Got my first bike on my 4th Xmas. I'm into my 8th decade, thankfully, and cycling has always been a life-enhancing and sustaining activity. I have a nice car and nice scooter that enable touring and much more, but it's my bikes that are critical to my VITALS, probably next to loved ones, and food and water.

My loved ones make me happy: bikes merely make me smile and enable and enhance life wonderfully.

Best life-enhancing to all!
