Just pickup up an Ibis hakka, and took it out for the maiden voyage today! Before the bike even arrived I ordered a set of Industry 9 GRC X wheels with WTB Raddler tires. The 1/1 hubs sound amazing and have great engagement. Not quite as good as the I9 Hydra hubs on my mountain bike, but still pretty solid!

Just got a Surly Ghost Grappler, switched the tires to Super Moto X, strapped on a few bags and went on an overnight trip 50 miles out and back. This thing is a lot of fun and easy to strap stuff to. I topped out (spun out) with the gears a few times already but weight was low. I'll wait until she's fully loaded up before making changes.

Bought this 2022 Diverge last fall. OEM components were standard crabon gravel bike fare - hydro brifters, 1x, riser bar, etc.
I bought some new parts and here is the current set-up.
* ENE Ciclo Grand Compe bar ends fitted with a Jtek Shiftmate 8 on the RD side so that I can clear all 11 cogs on the cassette.
* Ritchey Comp Beacon bar
* 70mm x 35* stem
* Deity Bladerunner pedals
* 38/24 SRAM 10 speed crank
* SRAM GX 2x11 RD
* SRAM Rival Yaw FD
* SKS Bluemels fenders
* Swift Industries Catalyst bar bag
Took it for a spin a couple days ago and it feels so much more dialed now as compared to OEM.
Next up will be a set of Mason Hunt 650b wheels and 50mm+ wide tires

It was a milestone birthday purchase and I want it to be just the way I like - which is a little quirky by current industry standards.

It's called the 'Ultralight Bike Mirror' - made by the same company that makes Tubus racks and Ortlieb bags. See it here:
https://www.modernbike.com/ortlieb-u...nd-bike-mirror
$30. Not cheap, but it works well for me. I mount it in a location where it doesn't interfere when riding the drops. A vertical orientation gives a decent rear view. It is convex and that takes a little getting used to. Adjusted correctly, I can see rearward when riding the tops, hoods, and drops.
it's light enough that even though the band attachment to the bar is a little weak it doesn't move much. Some electrical tape would make it rock solid. The knuckle joint on the back of the mirror is robust.
The best drop bar mirror currently available IMO.

This is a neat decision and I also like your build overall. As a question/suggestion, could you run that shiftmate as an inline adapter somewhere on the housing before it enters the headtube (to get it out of the way of your fingers), or does it have to butt up against the shifter mount since it needs a solid stop?

I ordered the Shiftmate from SJS Cycles in England - took about 10 days to receive. If you have questions they are pretty quick to reply to an email.
The Shiftmate 8 allows the ENE Ciclo bar end shifter to just clear 11 cogs - not sure that this would clear 12. The Shiftmate 6 model will give more boost to cable pull ratio and would likely clear 12 cogs. Ask SJS.

The Shiftmate could be placed in-line prior to the frame entry port at a break-point on the housing. This model of Shiftmate is meant to be installed in a straight run of housing. Other models have a 90* bend and are normally located adjacent to the rear derailleur.

You can't go wrong with I9 hubs. I have two sets of hydras laced up to ENVE rims. I can swap wheelsets and not even touch the rear derailleur.

Vittoria Terreno Mix G2.0 Tubeless TNT Gravel Tire, 700x38. Not interested in changing tires for conditions, and their Mix are great as a Jack of all trades. Plus, they were on sale for $39/ea. I've ridden Vittorias for many years as touring and all purpose tires. Like them a lot.

Ordered some Tufo Thundero 40s. They’re still being shipped but at 38 a piece it was hard to pass up given the reviews

Mason Hunt 650b Adventure Sport wheels and Continental Race King Protection tires (27.5 x 2.2) - mounted tubeless.
I'm ready for that spring gravel!! (Although being 'mud season' around here some roads are a definite no-go).
