I was just perusing fender options for 26” wheels and noticed that the PB Cascadia ALX fenders for 27.5 wheels (60 mm) are $30 less than the 60mm for 26”. Why, IDK.
But it makes me wonder if one could buy the 27.5 version and coax them into a 26” fit.
Opinions? Those backed by experience will be especially appreciated.

My fenders have very little clearance (Planet Bike). Even if I went up in tire width they wouldn't fit right. The mounting points will be your next issue as they're not moveable. But good luck,

I don't think I've seen info on these specific fenders, but a BF member did a tutorial on re-radiusing aluminum 700c fenders to 650b, so I suspect it can be done with 650b to 26", since the finders you're asking about are aluminum. Basically, you gently spread the fender one imaginary horizontal line at a time until you get the entire length of the fender, which will gradually close the radius. I'll edit this post with the link when I find it.

I finally got around to doing this. It was all pretty straightforward. The links provided below were excellent and very helpful. I did need to dimple the fenders slightly for stay and fork blade clearance, and bend the fender stays for proper alignment. I still need to trim the stays, but otherwise it’s ready for the wet.
