I'm too nervous to even consider bending an aluminum hanger, though I know others have so I'll just suggest this as a parts bike.

Lemond Alp d’ Huez Road Bike 57 - $120

Vintage Lemond road bike. 8 speed Campy mirage group. Rear derailleur bent (hanger tweaked a little but not bad - I have an alignment tool and could straighten). Needs to be gone through but would make a good winter project or fixed gear conversion. Frame is approximately 57cm square (seat tube measured center to top). Was going to fix but frame is a bit to big. 100% of sale will be donated to Pemigewasset Search and Rescue, so buy a bike and support something good.

Yeah, seconded. Steel frame. I think it's Reynolds 853 for the main tubes, 525 for the stays. But that's just from memory.

Anyone need a small Bianchi? This ‘87 Campione de Italia is likely a bit over priced at $475 considering it condition. While the original shifters and brake blocks/holders are gone the Ofmega Master derailleurs are still there. MSRP on this was probably right around $550-600

That's a steel dropout, so no worries re-aligning it.

No issues with me on the Lemond, I live nowhere near it and wasn't sure if it was steel or aluminum. I googled it and first entry I saw said it was aluminum. Anyone wants it? it's still up as of 5 minutes ago.

These won't appeal to everyone, but they sure look cool. $25 in SC also gets you a Thule rack piece that looks like their tandem carrier to fit the crossbars.

A steel steal indeed. Some years had that Reynolds configuration, but the linked bike is a True Temper frame. I have the same exact frame in the same size. Fun, fast ride.

Normally I'd say that's high for a Super Course, but that appears to have the long cage Huret RD, and the full chrome fork is interesting too.

Drillium for days!

https://maine.craigslist.org/bik/d/b...429167171.html

This funky delight represents a bygone era of road racing. Meticulously drilled-out components, as was the trend in the 60's and 70's. Suntour derailleurs, Weinmann brakes. Collectable? Fun restoration project? Object d'art? No reasonable offer refused! Unreasonable offers considered!

THAT ^ is one bad place to drill! The seller has had some equally "interesting" ideas about swapping in non-standard fasteners...so "caveat emptor".

Some kind of spacer arrangement below the ring? I've never seen this before. It would make the frame effectively bigger, add some rake, and get you a little more overlap clearance? Also raise the bottom bracket and make the seat post angle less steep. Or maybe the steerer tube was just too long.

Ai yi yi, WTF is up with that fork steerer tube?

Sorry, I saw that after I posted it but didn't have time to amend the post. Hope nobody was jumping on it.

Some kind of spacer arrangement below the ring? I've never seen this before. It would make the frame effectively bigger, add some rake, and get you a little more overlap clearance? Maybe the steerer was just too long for some reason?

Assembled by someone who has no idea? Perhaps the stem is stuck and seller somehow just tightened the headset like that? I just don't know

I think yes. Looks like a long cage Huret of some sort. And with the 49D and barcons - a no-brainer if your near upstate VT.
