I've been saving my transfers for a predictable race, like Paris-Roubaix

think i'd rather have the spring classics/12 riders format for just a five monuments game and without transfers.
pick yer 12 and be locked in until lombardi in the fall. no transfers over a 6 month game. that leader after l-b-l on tenterhooks for months!
appeals to the passive-aggressive nature in me but maybe that's just me. would be okay with a spring races game with 2nd cat races like scheldeprijs
(with unlimited transfers) and without monuments as another game as a subset of the gigantic superclasico. superclasico is the samsonite gorillas wearing ties.

Almost felt sorry for ya till I noticed you got Benoot and Laporte! I left Benoot Mohoric as a carry over then fired three transfers to gain tratnik, mahoric Benoot; then MvdP of course! I'm looking to tratnik he's been performing great.

Most excited about my super classico team though.

Once more into the breach. I know I just wasted some transfers. I wish I knew which ones.

P.S. I was wondering why nobody commented on what a $$#@% genius I was on that statement there ^. And a little bit hurt.

Now I see it was because I typed Coquard when I was thinking Cosnefroy!

Oh well, at least I got it right in one of the leagues. Not this one! And I thank you all for not mocking me. Much.

Meh I read it and did the same, I even read the mole's pick of him and I must've just thought "it's a French name"

Let's talk about Kristoff for Brabantse Pijl hmm?

Who else you guys thinking, some of the lesser knowns? I need to dig into this abit but it should be a good show!

Alaphillipe will probably be my top pick. But ineos look set to pull a JV Paris-Nice 1-2-3

I'm not paying attention and getting my races mixed about! Any way I wonder how he'll do for Roubaix. I threw guys in for Brabantse Pijl from the form I saw at Scheldeprijs and a nod to Ben Turner

It's almost all over, but the crying.

Big race tomorrow then two more in the Ardennes next week with their different character screaming for all the transfers you saved, and then some. ooga-booga is flush, sorry GrainBrain , but you're not as badly off as semroc . I think canam73 is in about the same boat as me -- a few left, but some roster work to do for P-R. He who shall not be named continues to perform.

I'm out for a ride tomorrow morning so I will soak in all the racing action when I can. I'm sure someone will crush it here, and I look forward to congratulating you a bit later.

I got one transfer left now, threw two in today but on riders that will target Roubaix and one of either lbl or wallone. Mohoric in, Madous in. One transfer left and one 16 point spot in Alaphillipe - alas no more Wout for me.

Would've loved to have been brave enough to swap in Ganna (I think he'll be very competitive). Also Mads Pedersen will be sure to do well.

I'd be feeling pretty awesome if our interloper wasn't b!t¢h slapping me so hard.

Quite a day on the cobbles. Sorry I doubted you Mr. Van Baarle. Even sorrier I deserted you.

Wow Wout. Wowt?

Congrats to slcbob for grabbing the league's lead! That was a wild and fast race!

Madous got me some points, Mohoric should prove to be a good transfer.

Onto the last two - hope Juju finds that voodoo over Wout or I'm out.

An open letter to Yves Lampaert:

Cardboard signs for die Panzerwagen and now Opa himself for you. Unlucky, mate.

Lefevre is right. Walking back up the course and donking that guy on the head is reasonable reaction. Pay no attention to any nonsense about bad juju from a certain Velogames pick. There is no evidence. At least none that isn't plausibly deniable, when held up to excruciating death penalty legal standards and man on the moon scientific ones. Such as have been met by GrainBrain 's picks libel / curses.

You and I would both loved to have seen you on the podium. You were robbed.

I don't think Yves even knew what hit him, that was a wicked high side and thank the merciful cobble gods for his skill in not smacking the deck instantly. I wonder if he rides with the front brake lever on his right? It looked like not only did he get the bars knocked off kilter but his front seemed to lockup as well - he pitched forward with his rear wheel off the ground and the spectator seemed unhurt.

That was a hard wreck for Yves. Wout sure came back a lot. Kung hung tough all day. I can't believe Laporte rode out that taco'd wheel. Van Baarle was awesome. Great race.

At the start of my roster work today, I had only 1 of 12 showing that little #Fleche tag. Yikes.

With much gnashing of teeth, all few of my transfers are now committed, the season is on auto pilot, and the e-road will decide this weekend.

Unlike the interminable Superclasico.

I have one shot left and I'm heavily considering just adding in Martinez now. Or Vlasov. Wish I had been smarter so I could swap in our tufted friend.

Tough choice. It's not so much which one do you like, but which one do you hate?

Do your voodoo!

It's a close race but it looks like GrainBrain will take the league in the end.

A strong showing today. With 0 transfers he couldn't get rid of Ahlaphilippe if he wanted to, and why would he? I don't see me being able to close the gap at the Doyenne, even if a certain tufted Slovenian rises to the challenge. Will Vingegaard comes back as a starter in that one? All I know is he DNF'd this one, IDK how bad. I guess it could have been worse; he could have run into Vlasov again and took him out of my Superclasico team.

Our unmentionable interloper continues to perform admirably.

not exactly how it was planned but all twelve angry men in on l-b-l. xfers gonzo. would like to think
i'll move up a spot or two in this crazy league due to other participants only being able to field half a team, or less.
remain confident, however, that i'll find a way not to.

To the victors go the spoils of whatever spoiled thing we were playing for. Congratulations, GrainBrain . Well inside the top third of the general population and the cream of the crap by a healthy margin in our little league. Perhaps you can treat yourself to something nicely fermented. You earned it.

Not even a dash of comment or a smidgeon of gloating from our interloper, who ended up a double digit midget in the whole thing. OK, enough of that.

Hasta Romandie, people.

I had a nice day out at the local races today. I know my VG result but not LBL. I shall partake this evening with a little lasagna and some vino, speaking of fermented things.

Absolutely have enjoyed a local brew after some gardening and hiking. An incredible race and end to the spring classics. A moment of reflection on the brutality of cycling.

QUINTEN HERMANS. You will be on my Romandie roster.
