90' @ z2 this morning. Finally got my act together enough to leave the house in time to get in a decent ride before work.

what big event(s) are you training for, jsut?

sounds like you have an ambitious plan this year, and i'm genuinely curious as to your targets.

Enjoy! I think almost all of the roads are back to normal (except for the section by the river between Piermont and Nyack).

-----

35-min FTP test. Looks like i'm where I was in early January of last year.

Derailed over the last couple of weeks. With a combination of colder weather (and me being wimpy), some odd back and neck pain, and my daughter starting basketball season I have found it extremely easy to miss workouts. I've jogged some been on the bike a little but not as much as I should. I also have been eating too much and not as well as I should

haven't totally figured it out yet. i know i want to try to get my 1 upgrade next year, as well as try to do something at the bigger races near me. I also have nationals, states, and a couple of local races that are kind of important to me.

8 times up the my local 1' hill. I alternated between big gear (53/13) and higher cadence (85-90 rpm). I was going to do 10 times up the hill, but at 8 I had to call it or fall off my bike. My HR was at least a good 10 bpm low. I was doing RPE 18-19 for a minute and never even hitting Z5 on HR. I'm starting to over-reach, for sure. 1 more hard ride on Saturday and then a rest week.

Oh ya, duh. Day 9 of a 10 day cycle of Augmentin for an ear infection probably isn't helping the HR response, either.

1:20 mostly ez yesterday morning. Legs finally starting to feel less stiff - nearly the same avg watts yesterday as the day before felt way easier. Today will be time to ramp it up a bit more.

I get asked everyday why I limp so bad...
Side effect of being in shape I guess.

Epsom salt bath and ground flaxseed are your friends.

that may be too many days that when you get back on the bike your legs may be too stiffed

just ride recovery on Friday and Saturday, throw in a few "openers"
