I did another 2 hours today for another 167 TSS. I am riding really strong right now. This was an "easy" ride but I have been pushing big gears on all the hills lately in order to build some muscular endurance and I think it's starting to pay off. Maybe I should move that FTP test up a few weeks...

Yeah, if that's an easy ride you definitely need to test asap.

There were a few decent efforts in there, especially when I met up with two guys and we pushed it on the flats. I've been doing 2x20's at appox my sweetspot and it's been tough so I can't imagine my FTP would be that far off.

Group Ride, which turns into a race at whatever category climb we are doing that day (Oak Glen). Finished with the first group new all time power highs between 6m to 30m....lets just call it 2.1 w/kg @ 20m so we don't get any arguments.

Moving time: 2:52:46
Distance: 46.3mi
Climbing: 4357ft
Work: 1629kJ

Short track and another XC race tomorrow.
Sounds strange. No indications of a finish line??

I don't like that you mix measurement systems. If you're going to use miles and feet you should use calories instead of joules and hp/lb.

Today I rode like 36 miles in a little over 2hrs, at .00169hp/lb. This was awesome because my avg heart rate was 137 and my LT is 180.

Those are pretty good numbers at roughly three swallows flight distance. Oh, that's an unladen swallow's flight away, obviously. There were more than two laden swallow's flights away, four really, if they had the coconut on a line between them. I mean, if the birds were walking, and dragging the coconut.

Still feeling yesterday's ride in my legs. I'm not used to those speeds, it was almost 0.5 furlongs per fortnight.

I'm sure it was faster than that (a furlong is ~200m and a fortnight is two weeks).

Today I ran 1x10^14 Å.

Alto Velo A Ride today. Went south to Hicks road. 10^15 angstorms today with 1.2x10^13 angstroms elevation. Mostly 3 to 10 minute hills. Pretty hard ride for the distance/elevation

Today is one of those workouts that will have to be written down and taped to the stem.

I've been told that after my last race I'm supposed to take 10 days off. So, that's going to be ****** weird.

That's decent power to hold for a 1.88x10^-12 parsec ride. Good work.

There is a ~1:20 snip of today's workout where my NP is 4.7. The entire 3hr workout has an NP that I would normally see in a hard cat 3 road race. I suppose rest weeks work.

Drink your ovaltine y'all.

See, this is what I was getting at with my sticking to a consistent system of measurements. I dig on globecanvas' fortnight nod.

I've been on like a rest month ... not sure I can do much else other than watch my TSS spin down the drain. I FEEL good though, so that's nice.

basically done any type of structured training for the year. i'll still try and do one training ride in the woods on my cross bike a week in addition to racing on the weekends. everything else is just fitting in as much riding as possible. going to start doing some non-recovery rides on the fixed gear. still want to get in a century on that bike by the end of the year and i have no idea how riding longer distances on it will be but i imagine it'll be significantly harder than on a geared bike. i'll probably resume more structured work at the beginning of January.

I went to nats and ate because I was nervous, then because I was relieved, then because I was worried I was eating too much, and now I'm back to being fat.
