I had a canvas awning with a tear and tried many ways to fix it. It was fun but I failed. I then took took it to an upholstery shop to see if it could be fixed. Within 10 minuets the guy closed it with a Double Running Locked Stitch then painted it with enamel plaint. It was a 50 USD lesson and worth it to me...
