Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I went to the old club ride start today and went with the A group with the intention of cutting it short. It was a 95 mile loop and 4 of us just did about 70. I felt like crap in the first 15 miles and I was embarrassed at how bad I was riding but they kept waiting and encouraging me. There was a break at 25 miles so I took a long pull after that to show my appreciation. It was a really nice day and we even had tailwind for miles toward the end.

At the start I saw a friend on his return to the club after a horrible crash early last year. He is still facing more surgeries and I was surprised to see him out. I hope he doesn't have any more problems.

I went longer than intended today, to help out the team.
Also cause I was having fun. The first ten km I had never ridden, and the next stretch only once prior.

I heard “Too Much Month” on the radio years ago and loved it.

I liked Dwight Yoakam in "Slingblade" when Billy Bob clocked him with a lawnmower blade.

Grilled chicken bread? Was it made by chickens or did it have chickens in it?

Drone workers have to pay for their gender studies degree.

I'm disappointed East coasters have not been overwhelming the BF servers by posting pics from this event. Oh well, there's still tomorrow I suppose...
