1986 Marinoni Corsa

I have acquired a 1986 Marinoni Corsa. It is 60cm, Columbus SP, Shimano clip-in pedals and a Shimano 105 brake system.

Any ideas of what it's value is?

Can you upload a pic to the album on your profile page. Some can post it for you.

Are you from Newfoundland?

Welcome aboard, glad you found us, you may be in the right place, we're happy to help and always do.

The value should be immense to you, these are very nice bikes, great history and and still going strong.

As already stated, there is an appraisal thread for this and we need pics, good ones and lots of them.

Otherwise you need 5 posts X 2 days to post pics here, its an anti spam measure that serves us very well.

If you post some they should go to your gallery and may get moved here.

I will have to post more in order to be allowed to post pictures of the bike. I have also posted it under vintage bike appraisals. Thank you 😊

You're welcome and like I said, if you try to post pics, they may go to your gallery and get moved here.

Value of these varies widely and are undervalued more often, sometimes grossly IMO.

I ask because I don't think it's original components.

Looks like a nice bike! I won’t suggest a value because I’m clearly biased.

The serial number would confirm the year pretty easily. Marinoni includes the last digit of the year. Here’s my ‘87 SN (found under the BB cable guide) and confirmed by Mrs. M.

Components are easy to change, and they clearly are non-original to an ‘86, judging by the stem, seatpost, triple crank, brakes, bars and brifters. Looks like a bike that was enjoyed and modified as the owner changed over the years, reasonably maintained considering its age.

But please properly install the front wheel immediately!

I called Marinoni directly with the serial number. It was purchased and outfitted by my father from it's original owner. Sadly my father just passed away from covid-19.

I'm deeply sorry for you father.

In Eastern Canada, I'd say your bike your bike should be worth around $750. Nice tubing and great wheels. The groupset is fairly common however.
