Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The obvious answer is to hurry up and buy a new bike.

The final, missing part for Mrs. GeneJockey's new bassoon arrived yesterday, but she said it didn't fit. She was mistaken. A little "cork grease" (aka Chapstick), and it fit right in. Then I was so jazzed for her, I put the whole thing together (after lightly greasing the cork), but she was too tired to play it last night. She did spend an hour with it today, though. She seems pretty happy with it, and has not raised a stink about the Litespeed, so I think I'm safe there. The fact that the bassoon was >4 times the price of the Litespeed no doubt helped.

Well done, sir. A happy wife is a good thing.

In my experience, a happy wife does not guarantee that I am happy. However, an unhappy wife will make damn sure I am also unhappy, right along with her.

Yeah. "Happy wife, happy life" is not as universally true as "UNhappy wife, unhappy life."

If you don't want the $1500, you can Venmo it to me, and I'll find a use for it.

I checked my supplies and I have 2 x 110, 1 x 120, and 1x 130mm quill stem, plus 3 Cinelli Nerve handlebars. And two Turbo saddles, since this comes without one.
