Oh, for the love of god.
As soon as I got my system 32 years ago (AR turntable; CJ preamp; Aragon power amp; Magneplanar speakers), I allowed my subscription to Stereophile to lapse, figuring it was the safest thing to do, financially.

The problem that I run in to is that I'm always selling myself up - I want a covetable bike, but that gets expensive enough that I think, "hell, if I'm going to spend that much, I might as well get a geared bike..."
Maybe if used rim brake wheelsets are practically being given away, as is being said elsewhere in the Greater 41, I could actually pull it off a cool build for not too much coin. Maybe.

Ah gotcha. I'm not that picky, basically all of my bikes are built with bang-for-the-buck as a component choice filter. Lots of gently used things in my garage.

What a great idea! Let's put a sound system based on a stylus tracking in a barely visible groove with only a couple grams tracking force in a moving vehicle subject to bumps, shocks and braking and cornering forces!

My current at home is nice, but modest by some standards. Denon AVR, Pro-Ject turntable, KEF 700 right and left, R200c, and KEF in ceilings for surround and height, REL T9i sub.
