ID'ing Colnago
This Colnago frame was given to me by my riding partner. Size: 58 cm c-c. He picked it up from an ebay seller located in Santa Cruz/Aptos area of CA. Shortly later, he decided it was too small for him. So, he gifted it to me. Was repainted & decals were put on, I've subsequently built it up w/ C-Record cmpnts. 27.2 mm seatpost.
I don't know much about it's history or date of manufacture & was hoping for someone's knowledge here of the 'model/dob' of Colnagos? Decal says:Columbus SL Tubing.
Previous owner hinted that it might be a 'Mexico Model'...dunno ?

I'm going to guess it has a Master bottom bracket as well.

@Velikus - Clover on the brake bridge is not a consistent feature. I have an 83 Superissimo without.
I don''t recall if Mexico's had a CS bridge. Features that I see indicate early '80s likely 83 on if the ST caps are flat. Decals are of an earlier vintage.

Very nice gift! I really enjoy riding mine.
@RobbieTunes - I like your bike! although the color scheme is busy, it works great for me. The colors look vibrant! Beautiful.

btw: I had a Superissimo exactly like yours’ (59cm) Rode it for years, Sadly, I let it go to a Forum member. Rock steady ride, even at 55 mph...
I expect this red one to perform the same, although I’ve slowed it down some at 74 yrs/o 😎
Just had those new wheels built w/ FIR Sirius Rims..

I’ve never even seen one with panels in person.
Somehow, I always end up with the fades.....
Have you noticed the low-grade “fanaticism” of many Colnago owners? (said fondly, and for lack of a better word)
They are dedicated, abundant, and pretty crazy about their stuff. Worldwide enthusiasm.
I’m not a Facebook fan, but the owners’ group there is extremely interesting.
I think the Mapei owners alone are bigger than most bike cults.
