Spouse is officiating a friend's wedding this August in Sequim, WA. We're planning on turning it in to about a week long trip and am trying to figure out what to do. Neither of us have ever been to the PNW before - any recommendations for places to check out? Or places to avoid?
Of course the biggest decision to be made is whether to bring my own bike or try and find one to rent.

Try to do better next time.
I should start a hydrogen distillery at Oak Ridge for the nuclear fusion reactor startups. Sell tritium for hundreds of thousands of dollars and the H2O refuse to cyclists for $20/bottle.

My wife hired a photographer for family pictures. She scheduled it for today, and so think she scheduled it right after Simon was born. T
2 days ago we picked out what we were going to wear as a family.
This morning. ITS ALL WRONG. I am not sure what changed in the last two days, but what ever changed, changed for the worst. Did I mention it’s all my fault? It’s all my fault.
Now I am at the outlet mall trying to get my wife and daughter new clothes to wear for our pictures today, because somehow it’s my fault the clothes they were going to wear don’t work. Sigh.

Uggh, I had to ride home with 3 bolts on my fixie once. My chain dropped and I was like WTF? Then I looked down in horror. Tightened the remaining 3 bolts as well as I could (one of the nuts would just turn, so I only had 2 fully tightened bolts. I rode home very gingerly.

Speaking of socks. I saw a GCN video last night where Daniel Bigham, who seems to know a lot about aerodynamics, says the biggest aero improvement you can make, is aero socks. Your legs are two giant cylinders in the wind. Makes sense.

Sure was a fun one to remove when I swapped in a cartridge BB last year

Robots might be taking your job pretty soon, probably wise to save up...
This week Airbus released an image of an A350 test aircraft with cameras for automated pilot operations and/or possible single-pilot certification testing. This is why we should all start being concerned. They call it computer vision-based algorithms to advance landing and taxi assistance.
From Airbus "Airbus UpNext, a wholly owned subsidiary of Airbus, has started testing new, on ground and in-flight, pilot assistance technologies on an A350-1000 test aircraft.
Known as DragonFly, the technologies being demonstrated include automated emergency diversion in cruise, automatic landing and taxi assistance and are aimed at evaluating the feasibility and pertinence of further exploring autonomous flight systems in support of safer and more efficient operations.

Just watched a GCN video. We have all been doing it wrong. The most significant gains don’t come from aero wheels, aero frames, aero bars, shaved legs. shaved eye brows.
The most significant gains come from aero socks. That’s right, with a new pair of aero socks you can hop on your amazon eurocyclce and blow the competition away.

I bought a 3-pack of Saucony wool socks last year and now I only have one pair. Pretty bad attrition rate there.
