Training Thru-axle Adapter?
I’ve got a 2018 Trek Domane ALR 5 and a CycleOps Fluid2 trainer which is currently set up for my older hybrid.
I’ve been considering buying the Thru-axle Adapter from Saris (https://www.saris.com/product/thru-axle-adapter) so I can train on the bike I ride the most.
Are there any dangers to worry about, here? Frame damage? Axle damage?

Yeah, just confirm the specs. With my Trek, I got an axel from Robert Axel Project - they have a great axel finder utility - https://robertaxleproject.com/axle-finder-2/

For their wheel-on 'Snap' trainer, Wahoo sells you a kit of THREE thru axles, with 3 different threat pitches. As far as I can tell, they don't sell them separately, if you just happen to know what thread pitch you need.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I ordered a trainer axle from The Robert Axle Project for my Domane ALR.
Just a question for you guys using one, why do they tell you to remove the drive-side axel end before heading back out on the road?

Because you just don't need it. Odds are that nothing is bad is going to happen, but there's the possibility that you lose it or that it's one more step in changing a flat tire on the road (during which you lose it).

Yeah, I have an older road bike on my trainer. But you may find a need for an adaptor anyway. For example, if you take your Defy in for a fitting, you'll need to put it on a trainer....
