Frame Logo coverup. Best way?
I have a black frame and the logo on the downtube is ruining the aesthetic.
Since I'm FAR too lazy to disassemble then strip then paint then reassemble the bike, what would be an alternative?
Was thinking of a large decal or a wrap of some sort.
Better suggestions?

Short of spray painting, I've never seen a downtube convincingly masked; most attempts seem to call more attention to themselves than the original look.

If it's on the top tube, black bar tape can look pretty good if you wrap most of the tube.

Vinyl wrap (the stuff they wrap cars with) has all kinds of handy uses and would work great on bikes. You can get pretty small amounts of it on Amazon.

Any local shop that does graphics, etc. for vehicles can make you anything you want, from plain thin material of various colors, to the same with printed designs or words on it. A few years ago, I got a ~12"X12" scrap of black from them. Very thiin and durable for vehicle use. I used it to cover a scratched up area on a top tube and it looked almost like OEM two tone treatment. I've also had them make me very OEM-like decals for a vintage frame.

Use some black electrical tape and block out random letters of the Motobecane. Swap it around occasionally, keep them guessing.

I've done this effectively a couple of times. Velocals was the solution. I took pictures of the decal (showing a tape measure also), sent them to Tommy at Velocals, he designed a few ideas from my suggestions, and every one of his ideas was brilliant. I ordered, had a new decal to cover the old in just a few week. Shockingly inexpensive! Tommy at Velocals has been my hero on many occasions. He's REALLY good.

Amazon sells faux carbon fiber frame decals. This stuff works pretty well. It doesn't leave residue, the vinyl material is lightweight and can cover large sections of a bike frame.

Quick update.
I had some Black satin paint from another project so I painted the head tube and am waiting on the results. If it doesn't look too bad I MIGHT paint the downtube.
For kicks I purchased 8" wide flextape as an alternative to paint.
So I have options

Search the internet and you can find reflective vinyl tape in a variety of colors (including black) and widths. That'll cover up any size of garish logo, and provide some added protection if you ever ride at night/sunset/sunrise. I've got some 1/4" wide stuff on my bicycles, no issues with it.
