We could use a Clothing or Accessories forum!
Not tech and not physically on the bike like a seat or basket. We could use a forum to discuss padded shorts, gloves, etc.

Road? Mtn? Commuter? E-rider? Winter? Touring? Indoor? Generic?
Maybe, covered within/by specialty cyclist category already?

I'm not sure I would qualify for the Clothing and Accessory castigator, as I tend to get my cycling ware form Good Will.

If you're just interested in cycling clothing, general is a good place to ask.
What to wear in rain? Ask in Commuting or Touring.
Cold weather? Winter -- and please specify what you consider cold, as that term covers everything from below 60F to negative Fahrenheit temps.

People seem to do a pretty job of endlessly arguing about cycling clothes right here, but sure -- why not start another subforum that the grouches can scold people to post in instead?

IMO a clothing sub-forum is a great idea. Then it could spider out to road, mtb, gravel, etc.
Early fall I was looking for a truly water-proof jacket that didn’t cost a fortune like most specialty bike gear/kit. After an extensive search I found Decathalon. Affordable but comes with compromises I can live with, like no pit-zips or hood. But it’s always better to get a take from someone here who has a recommendation on what works and what doesn’t.

I don't know we really need that we can always ask these questions in the more appropriate sub-forum. Plenty of sub-forums to talk about all sorts of clothing.

I think a clothing forum makes as much sense as many of the others. More than one way to organize something. But the general problem is most people just look in this general discussion forum and it's easy for specific things to get overlooked when posted anywhere else.
I for one would find a specific clothing forum more useful than trying to address clothing in specific forums like road, or MTB. I think there is more in common than not when it comes to clothing.
In the end, there is no perfect way to organize this. I think there may already be too many forums, so another is probably not a good idea.

Gravel clothing forum. What’s the difference between gravel clothing and road clothing you ask? An extra pocket and earthy colors.

It gets wild. There was a thread about clothing in a Facebook cycling group I'm in that got kinda crazy, with people throwing around angry accusations about others gatekeeping what "real" cycling clothing is etc. People are crazy.

Asking a clothing question in General Forum will net you a million different opinions on what constitutes a proper and improper cycling attire..and that's all it is, opinions based on personal preferences.

I'll be the nay-sayer. We don't need more forums. Many members are too lazy now to post in the correct forum and often begin a post with "if this is in the wrong place mods can move it..." as if the moderation and admin team need your permission to move it. Many of the forums now get so little traffic that I wonder why we even have them. Many posts are as earlier stated in the wrong forum to begin with. Some posts bleed over across several different sub forums. Cycling kit for indoor spinning is different from outdoor road is different from gravel is different than mtn bike, etc. Indoor spin is different for men at home vs in a group setting outside of the home.

If we allow past BF post count to be our guide, there are as many posts about cats as there are shorts.
