TREK 970 frame/fork
What’s a fair price for this 1990 Trek 970 20” frame and matching fork?

In Southern California, $60-$100 in a local sale.

Very tough sale in a local market as people are looking for complete bikes, not frame sets. Generally, Treks from that era are under appreciated. If it were my size and local, I'd pay $50 for it as I have multiple rigid frame MTB donors right now. Love the paint job, and I like the high end Treks from that era.

if it just has paint missing, no dents agree with $50 to $75. A complete bike can be purchased for $250 to $300 if your patient.

I just picked up a 970 Trek on Friday two days ago. It’s dirty and it’s not original. (That’s why no one wants it.) But it was free at Missoula Freecycle. I’ll get it up and running but not original. I don’t know who I’ll give it to but let me know if you want the frame/fork for the cost of shipping.
I have a Red Bianchi Grizzly that’s my current rebuild. So I’m scrounging for parts. I love it.

I’m not facile, I am not allowed to post anything on marketplace. Free is free and should qualify. The world isn’t what it used to be. I’m sure all have noticed. HVAC

I’m thinking the interested parties will need as much information as if they were purchasing. Free to me still involves about $150 shipping. It’s posted on Craigslist for Helena Montana. Look under bike parts.
Still free for those of you interested Bike Forums members. I don’t think I can post the pics here but Craigslist’s has ‘em. I can’t do better than this.
