IGH mtn bike

Yes, yes I’ll employ the search function. I’ve been enjoying my Bafanged Clem Smith a lot and after riding through lots of tall grass and clearing it out of the derailleur pulleys curious what success folks have had with bbshd torque and IGH or is Rohloff the only one that can handle the torque? I’m in steep terrain so there’s no way I’ll dial back the motor.

Look at electric-fatbike.com/Karl Gesslein (may not be exact, but should get you there). He did some experimenting with IGH. AIR, the three-speed Shimano performed adequately.

Lots of ebike guys running 3, 5, 7, 8, 11 speeds no prob. Rohloff would be sweet though.
