Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

According to this, you can get about 40 microliters of blood out of each bat without severely impacting them. How much do you need, given your 1e5 times larger blood volume?

On my ride yesterday, I caught up to and passed a young* woman. The closer I got to her, the more I noticed that her bike was some nice classic steel, with polished aluminum kit. As I passed, I saw that it was a Richard Sachs. I thought about complimenting her on it, but I thought "Hey! Nice Sachs!" might be open to misinterpretation.

*well, younger than me which isn't saying much

That statement would also apply to an 8% drop in value over last year.

I asked the rich guys on the sailing forum the same question, but if they know, they probably won't tell me.

It's red.
Nice

From what I've heard it's hard to beat the old Cannondale tourers if you're on the bigger side of riders.

I think it's important that we occasionally step back and recognize those staunch supporters that have helped us through these trying times of distance learning, work from home, riots, and bar closures. Some gave their all, and for that I'm grateful. You will be missed.

I guess I should stop doing that.

Foxwoods managed it for a while. I actually worked there a bit before that one summer. It was my first summer job, being a field tech.

Being an anomaly is A-OK.

Absolutely. As well as removing the clocks, having to check in within sight of the casino, removing the windows, using chips, not to mention all the obvious ones. Though it's been a while... Do they still get you drunk whilst at the table? Pump a little extra O2 in there?
