Thats something I custom built myself, it’s got its own “origins” story that’s both Star Trek universe and real world history correct. 😁

Felix enjoys the Working From Home concept. He spends all of every working day snoozing on mrs non-fixie's nice and warm laptop. Weekends must be tough for him now.

The Queen of the Night (for all you Mozart opera fans) is all dressed up for Hallowe'en, with nowhere to go. Her owner died almost 3 years ago, and we were happy to adopt her.

I've noticed, but the dog took the cat bed first! She does that from time to time.

I bumped into this article yesterday.
Apparently not a cat owner.
I don't go to the pet store to buy mice for my cat to catch. She can catch any that might venture into the house, as well as a few mice, moles, gophers, and other pests outside.
I didn't choose my cat. She chose me.
Obviously there are different needs with indoor cats, indoor/outdoor cats, and barn cats.
Humans have developed a unique symbiotic relationship with our cats that is part pet, part independent.
Somehow wild cats can learn the ropes to survive, but I doubt my kitten would have survived her first year if she hadn't adopted me.
Should We Stop Keeping Pets?
Research into animals’ emotional lives has cast doubt on the ethics of petkeeping.Apparently not a cat owner.

Without human assistance, feral kittens are expected to have a high death rate, with approximately 50% dying within the first year. Of cats who survive kittenhood, the average life span of a feral cat without human care is less than two years.
I will read your link now, thanks.

Seems they don't mind diced up turkey in gravy… but the moment they are faced with the live specimen, they decide discretion is the better part of valour.
