Knock, knock...is this thing on?

Does anyone even come here anymore? Or is everyone on faceholebook?

If you are here, count off and let's see how many we get:

I opened this thread just to see what this "knock, knock" was all about. Well, I'm here and I qualify. Been here in Portland 24 years with 12 years of Seattle before that, riding the whole time. (With two custom bikes built by a former Seattlite.)

And bikes (in order of purchase)

1983 Trek 4something set up as my rain/winter/city fix gear commuter. (Frame purchased 2009 but it is the 5th frame of this rain/winter/city bike that's been going since 1976.)
The 1979 Peter Mooney of my user name, now set up (loosely) as an classic English fix gear road bike.
2008 TiCycles 3x9 ti road bike
2011 TiCycycles ti fix gear
1973 Raleigh Competition with assorted roughly period parts.
1983 Pro Miyata. Frame from a forumite last summer. Parts close to right and a perfect fit for the bike. Sewups, Pure race, pure fun!

PNW'ers do have a reputation for being a bit standoffish, aloof even. Relatively speaking, of course.

So perhaps not a surprise it's quiet in here.

I'm number three, in case anyone lost count.

SE Alaska is OK. Pacific and northwest, Now those points much further north? Bering Sea. We'd have take a vote to let you in. And the last Aleutian island? Now that's north far, far east.

Welcome!!

Hah! That's seven. It's going to feel downright crowded here soon!

base2 I'm currently bike commuting from Newcastle up to Northgate three days per week. It's a good ride, but I wish the roads on the Seattle side weren't so crappy.

Heck, this place is a booming hot spot compared to roadbikereview.com or cyclingforum.com, where a post happens once per month and there are maybe 50 active members.

This subforum is a lot chattier during drier/warmer months. At least, that's been my observation.

Keep it going I guess haha. South Puget Sound area. Enjoying these non-rainy days even if I am double and triple layered to stay warm.

Yeah. Just rode a 45 miles on my regular roads in beautiful weather, no wind, mid 40s and best tire adhesion of the year. (Clean roads. No oil at all. No sand, no leaves.)

Felt much cooler after the sun went low even though my house thermometer only fell two degrees.

I rode Portland to Olympia yesterday, 200km, then took Amtrak home. Slight headwind most of the day, but all things considered a great ride. A November day without any precipitation is a win. Add some sunshine, and it's a huge win.

Wow. Eleven of us. Nice to hear about some of your rides. I got a little gravel grind in over the weekend on my mountain bike (in Central Washington). About 20 miles worth. Beautiful day but cold.

@woodway, bump the number again for a rider & wrencher from Port Angeles. 'Just looked up the Cascade Swap and found it is on for Feb. 11th. Happily for me, it's back at the Seattle Center so I can just walk on the Winslow ferry (yup, I'm that old) to downtown.

Dean51 I did not realize that the swap was back on downtown. Good find!

Sixteen.

But over350 views. Guess there are a lot of shy people stopping by.
