'85/'86 Pinarello Crono. Spotting this frame on eBay, especially with a BIN price, made my day.

And this. A late 70's prototype/sample for a small company called Echelon that was apparently made by Cherubim, run by Yoshi Konno's brother, and where Yoshi worked during the late 70s, prior to starting 3Rensho. Made by the master or his brother? Either way, it's a pretty nice frame.

I'm told it's a Schwinn, though the only place that name can be found is on the brake levers, and it has the Giant built Schwinn date code. It appears in no Schwinn catalog that I've seen. I've seen photos of two others, on the internet.
Somewhere I have better photos.

I think a C-Record/Record mix on a Team Miyata if unusual, I've never seen one anyway

You've got to be just itchin' to get out and ride those beauties.
I'm riding tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday afternoon in Austin.
One of the guys brought down a brand spankin' new Extreme Power which fits me perfectly.
Just have to bring some pedals along.

I just remembered I have a rare bike. It's hanging in the garage and I haven't done much with it since I got it for $10. It's a 1960 Montgomery Ward Hawthorne Hercules with a three-speed SA AW hub, made in Birmingham, UK. Sorry 'bout the crappy pics.
The unusual bit is the top tube. Split like that of a mixte, but follows the lines of a nice, curvy cruiser.

I have something along those lines, but I haven't seen another English one speed cruiser with coaster brakes on here. I got this Dunelt 25 years ago for $5. The original rear hub was a "resilion" but 10 years ago the coaster brake broke and my LBS replaced it with a newer one. When I first got the bike the old bike store guy who was retiring right then said it was a 1950 or thereabouts model? It is very shiny right now because I brushed the whole thing over with 90W marine oil and will wipe it all off tomorrow.

Thanks Andy!
Hope the build works according to the plan.
Heh Casey, Thanks and great to meet you and your delightful fiance at the swap last weekend.
Left a phone number with a few parts dealers and ended up with quite a few additional goodies.
Including a very nice (nearly complete) Super Record gruppo.
Hope those Veloflex tires work well for you, as that was quite a value!

The most unique bike I ever had was a dark green Pegasus 10 speed. It was dutch built and had wing nuts instead of quick release. The geometry was very relaxed and the fork had quite a rake. It was the perfect bike for riding while drunk because it went straight all by itself. Because of the geometry I could not pop a wheelie no matter how much I tried. Sadly, it was stolen while chained at a corner with 4 cops close by.
I've never seen another or heard mention of the brand any where else.

Wow, pretty amazing that you have a very old Rauler and a Echelon as I as well have a very old Rauler, about the same year as yours and did have a Echelon (still have photos of it). Currently I have 3 Raulers and will have to post photos. One is a model that there were only 500 made and not imported into this country. Mine was the only one of that model I had seen until a few years ago one came up on ebay in England and a friend purchased it. We had the bikes together at a show that year. Anyway, cheers and good looking Rauler.

1983 Rauler with fancy lugs one of 500 made and this is number 23. One more of these surfaced a couple of years ago and a friend purchased it. Rauler did a reintroduction of this model a couple of years ago, the owner of the company sent me via e-mail brochures and some photos from the Milan bike show. Will post them later.

1972 Condor
I'm sure these are more common across the pond, this one was purchased at the Condor Bike Shop in London and shipped to the states after a tour of Europe by the original owner. I acquired it in a frame swap many years ago, and the set-up has evolved over the years, so the build is definitely unique.
When I repainted it I discovered it is built with Zeus drop-outs, so I added a period correct Zeus headset and cable guide. I've heard from two other BF'rs with Condors, but the're all different.

Here is my Colner, I never seen anybody riding another one in NYC. However, I am aware someone built one as a 1x7 in Brooklyn not too long ago and posted about it.

That is such a beautiful bike Bianchigirll. It always catches my attention. It just oozes pure speed. I would love to ride it (or one like it). I can imagine a beautiful day, a smooth and straight road, a slight tail wind and plenty of time to ride for as long as I can put effort in. Funny, this bike always has me day-dreaming of a fast day out.

Australian Ricardo Pinnacle. There are on two known to exist, they were only brought out of hibernation around a year ago when I bought this one up until then nobody knew that Ricardo (Australia's last mass producer) actually made this model or made a bike at this level.
They were only made in the last few months before the factory closure.

I posted this almost two years ago.
The campy kit is still on the tommasini tecno. I debated selling the Yokota and then stumbled on a few other unique parts and decided it just as well live on. I am pretty sure no one else will have this:

Although I've seen a very old link to a BF thread on a Sparrow touring rig, I've never, ever seen another race bike.
