My current winter bicycle, A Calvin manufactured by Bria, was my daughter's bike while we lived in Germany. She selected it because she liked the color. She hasn't ridden it since 2002. I like it now for my use for several reasons - the woman's frame allows easy mount/dismount, the 3 speed IGH(Sachs Torpedo) with coaster has adequate gears for city riding and the brakes are 100% all weather reliable, the original Nokian tires still have plenty of tread and good grip on slippery streets. The ride is excellent for my daily riding about town.

Hi Bulldog
Actually, what you're seeing on the front forks is the Sigma computer sensor (wireless).
I'm glad you like it. I'm very pleased with how it turned out - it's my first experience with a powdercoat repaint.

1984 Ciocc bought while stationed in Germany. came with tubular rims (which I still have and use), non-indexed Shimano gear. Was upgraded to 105 gear in late '80s. Just this past week, I removed the UG cassettes and hub and uograde to HG, allowing me to a full range of gear options. Installed a 12-28 cassette. Two years ago, upgraded biopaced crank and chain rings to FSA 34/50T compact crank. I don't need more gears, just lower gears.
A future upgrade will be a 10 speed 105 RD and 14-32T cassette, but retaining the 7 speed system.

I think it was a standard sized seat. The individual parts were not expensive but it did add up. The paint job was more than half the cost and very disappointing, she was supposed to be glittering RUBY not muddy reddish brown. I got the frame from NYCBikes, I think.

I was 50 plus when I bought my made for me go fast race bike. I almost effed up and ordered a white one.
My PX-10 was white when I rescued it but I could not salvage the paint so now it is a Rustoleum Regal Red commuter.
