I don't think a time has been established yet. The last couple of times it was around 5:00pm, as to give folks a chance to arrive & check into various hotels. I'm sure it will come up soon here on BF. I know a few folks have asked about the Saturday Social ride already, and the folks I'm bringing will want to do it also.

Looking forward to seeing you,

Denny

I mailed my registration yesterday! I may be having some hip problems at the moment, but I'll be there one way or another, even if for only one of the shorter rides. But right now, the plan is to be ready for the 62 mile route.

As soon as anyone has a time and meeting place, let us know. I'll be at the Hampton and can check in pretty much any time.

So I'm a New Yorker who has to drive about 3 hours to get to the Covered Brideg Metric.
Is it worth the drive???
Nice roads, scenery, climbs????

I'd say it's worth the drive. I actually have a longer drive, and I'm in PA. I've done the ride a couple times also, it's one of my favorite's of the year.
The roads are very nice paved rollers thru Amish farmlands, and that makes for some nice scenery. Nothing really notable as far as climbs go, but there are a couple hills along the way. At the very least, you'll get to meet a bunch of us Bikeforumites. That in itself is worth the drive

Well it looks like out of the 6 other folks I had coming, only 2 remain. Two of us will be taking part in "The Saturday Social" for sure. The other may, but I'm not sure as of yet.

We're getting close now folks,

Denny

Enjoy the ride Den...and everyone else. I wilkl be recovering from foot surgery. I would even just like to come and hang and take some photos....being on crutches, that will not happen. I wish you all a great ride and I can't wait to see the pics when it is all said and done.

Cheers,

Brian J.

Absolutely...the LBBC puts on a very nice ride. The scenery is quite nice and you will meet the finest of people. The BF gang is top-notch. You will have a great time. I wish I could ride this year. I got shortchanged with a foot injury in '07...had foot surgery last year and again this year. This ride just isn't in my karma.

Cheers,

Brian J.

I love this ride....gives me a good feeling whenever I think about it......this is one that I always look forward to because it has it all......great scenery, great roads , throw in a few "hills" for good measure .... and who doesn't like music and ice cream at the end of a good ride? ...... and good BF people make it that much better! My goal is to get my wife to the point that she can do these type of rides.....she is basically a newbie on a road bike but has made great strides this year, doing a few 25 mile, basically flat rides.....and teaching her to shift (sts)has been a chore

Looking forward to seeing everyone.....just a few more days!

Brian,

Good luck with the surgery, and best wishes for a speedy recovery. Hopefully we will see you out there next year!

I'm good for just about anytime.....we're coming up in the morning 10 or 11-ish....lunch, and then she's dropping me off at the Hampton Inn and heading out to max out our credit card, errr, shop...

I should be able to ride anytime after 1 or 2 .....

Okay, lots of talk about the Saturday social ride coordination, but what about Sunday morning? What time are we meeting/riding? I'm driving up Sunday so I need to plan a departure schedule.
