This was a nicely routed and well organized ride. I'm not doing it again because it was just too long a drive for me, especially coming home, but I can recommend the ride.

Hey I wasn't that grumpy...I was just having a bad hair day!
She was a piece of work...I wanted to yell to her old man "DUDE, RIDE, RIDE HARD, DON'T LOOK BACK!"

I don't think Cheri and I are going to be able to make it this year...but we're gonna try.

Thanks for putting this up, Grahny. I have it scheduled; and if I'm the "grumpy be-otch" to whom you are referring, then I will be there for SURE and I will taunt you a second time!

Anyone considering the Hershey Metric on the 26th of this month?

C'mon summer. I'm about sick of riding in the cold wind.

I'm gearing up for the Hershey ride and my annual "Ride Your Age on Your Birthday Ride" Yesterday I got in 41 miles and today I managed 47 so next Wednesday I should be able to make it to 57 miles for 57 years. (I'll just add Mr Greta to todays ride.) That should prepare me for the Hershey ride.
All of this of course depends on the weather, if we have April showers I'll probably not get out of bed. On the other hand if it's anything like today I just might start riding and not stop.

I can't get out today. GrrrrrrrrrrRRR. The first nice day of the year, and I can't get out. But I have 60 miles in for the week so far, and am hoping for 40+ on Saturday (rain/t-storms tomorrow).

Cudos on your 57 See you in Hershey,

Beth

LMAO @ Beth...TAUNT YOU A SECOND TIME?!?!?!"....not only are you a true gem, you are also a Python fan. I am going to see Spamalot the weekend of the 25th...can't wait!

I am still in the ambulatory boot BUT I have my orthotics orderred and also my new shoes (alas they are not cycling shoes), but it will be good to be walking somehwat normally again. I also hope to be back riding by next weekend as well. I am extra psyched because I won one of the Brooks Imperial saddles for the test they are running. I just can't imagine how much I am going to hurt after my first few rides.

I hope to be able to get back to lancaster again this year. If I do I hope I have a better year than last year and come out without bandages.

Beth, you have been a big help keeping me smiling with your posts since this foot thing started. I thank you again with a hearty ODDS BODKINS!!!

Yours,

"Navin"

I can see it now . . . the clouds part. . . the sun shines through the crowd. . . and we'll hear the words, "I'm not dead yet!". . .

And it will be great to see you there once again, Navin - minus the bloody sock, ok?

No, Beth. You were the LEAST grumpy person.

We'll be at the Hershey ride too. See you there!

Hi Beth, Hi BAJ(!)....
The Lancaster ride was fun ... although I seem to remember an awfully smelly hotel. ugh.

I did get out to ride yesterday. My FIRST day on the new fixed gear. Ummm, that was interesting.
I'll be terrorizing Atlantic City in no time.
Maybe I should ride the fixed in Lancaster. That way no one can make fun of the triple!

Yours from the Flatlands!

Awww shucks Tom, you're too kind! I really WAS grumpy yesterday. The weather was beautiful, and I had no way of getting out to ride. I really had to scold myself to snap out of it.

JO! It's great to hear from you . . . bring that fixie . . . and if you bring the triple, I promise not to make fun of it.

Beth (who is currently trying to rearrange her afternoon so maybe, just maybe, I can hit a window of riding opportunity between rain showers)

Ok what if I buy your ticket?

Jo...holy crap is that really you? You better show up this year.

And everyone else..d@mn you know I am down for this...may even bring the wife and ute on the new tandem this year...they would do one of the shorter loops though.

And for the first time I will be riding the same bike as last year. LOL

Buddy, we'll figure a way to get you out there. And I'd love to have you as a house guest again, if only so I can watch you stare out the living room windows at the cows across the street.
