over $100 for a 2s lipo charger is silly. Does anyone know what kind of plug is used, so I can build my own?

It's proprietary.

If you can afford to buy a DI2 equipped bike, you should be able to afford the chargers etc that go with it.
Just buy the OEM stuff

You could buy an SM-BCR2 and cut the end off of it.

Not completely certain the plug is proprietary as it seems like a long time ago I had something else that looked very much like it. But it certainly isn't common.

Buy the OEM part and you'll probably save yourself some headaches down the line when other parts of the system mysteriously start shorting out...

Rather than purchase the plug get a couple simple round female pin connectors and build it up from there. Not sure what a new Di2 battery costs but I am sure you are going to find out pretty soon.

Zemo, I would also add that if you have a good amount of expertise in building your own chargers than ignore the rest of this, but if not, building your own can be very dangerous as many fires have started from poorly made lithium battery chargers. There have even been 2 housefires within a mile of my apartment in the last 18 months that were caused by homemade chargers for ebikes. The $100 for a new Shimano charger is cheap insurance.
